Very nice hotel, conveniently located.

The hotel was very clean and the staff, throughout the hotel was very helpful, responsive and friendly

Pool was not open. Beds are hard. Otherwise fine.

To be clear this property is not 5*. It’s an average 3 at most. I’d say it’s ok for a business trip, but actually you can do a lot better for less in Morocco if all you want is a clean room to stay in. The staff were friendly, but the hotel can’t get many of the basics right. The air conditioning was ineffective. In late October, we opened a window instead. The decor of the room was run down and the door to the bathroom would not shut. Despite signs in the elevator and elsewhere advertising that the pool bar and restaurants are open to midnight or beyond everything was closed when we arrived at 22:00. We were told room service could provide drinks, but after 30 minutes they came to tell us that they could only provide coke normal. No beer, no Coke Zero. The pool area was consistently locked. In 4 days we only got it open once. The pool bar was never open with the seat cushions piled on it. Despite this the staff would tell us it is open. On the plus side, the local area has some good restaurants and bars. Generally the hotel has friendly staff but everything else has been neglected.

I don’t think the room we got was upgraded to what we booked. It was a poor experience

NE MERITE PAS ses 5 étoiles, grosse arnaque ! -Il n'y a aucune vraie piscine tout juste un bassin dont l'eau n'est pas propre, entouré de fauteuils renversés comme si c'était la période de grand nettoyage.. et ce pendant plusieurs jours donc totalement impraticable! - Sur les autres installations : Les lits sont durs, aucune jolie vue, les toilettes de l'accueil ( en bas) n'ont ni papier ni savon , le frigo ne refroidissait pas - il chauffait même - donc notre repas du soir au matin a périmé .. et je rajoute l'absence d'aération dans la salle de bain : une fois la douche prise la vapeur ne se dissipe nulle part. - Que dire de la jeune dame de l'accueil qui était aussi morose à l'arrivée qu'au départ : aucun sourire, aucun accueil, aucune formation sans doute. Elle exigeait de nous de faire l'appoint car elle n'avait pas de monnaie, en levant les bras en l'air au lieu de trouver une solution digne d'un 5 étoiles (!??), par exemple prévoir de la monnaie? Elle a interpellé sa collegue ensuite le bagagiste: ils n'en avaient pas non plus ( dans leurs poches ?? Je n'ai pas compris..). Enfin, le bagagiste m'a ramené une mauvaise valise ..et a difficilement voulu comprendre que je souhaitais la mienne et pas une autre! Heureusement qu'un responsable a été appelé et qu'il a pu, entre autres, trouver de la monnaie! Waw! Vraiment c'est une honte, des établissements de 3 étoiles font mieux . Fuyez ! Je recommande l'hôtel Barcelo à 100 m pour moitié prix avec le sourire !

During my first trip to Casablanca, I lost my cellphone on the other side of town after buying flowers for my wife. Do not wear sweatpants with a cellphone located in the pocket facing the taxi door exit because I am sure this how I dropped it. Despite efforts to locate the phone, it was gone. My wife, who is Moroccan, called the phone and spoke to someone who was uncooperative and threatening to sell it. With the help of a hotel worker named Soufian, we managed to track down the phone's location. Soufian arranged for transportation, constantly spoke with the person to coordinate where she was located to help we retrieve my phone successfully. Imagine coming to Morocco and the first day your phone is missing before settling in to experience the location. I must say that I am very grateful. This experience highlighted the kindness of strangers and the importance of assistance in challenging situations but importantly the integrity, leadership, patience, and level of care/concern from the workers that are in this hotel helped me solve my situation. This will be the only place I will stay when in Casablanca. Highly recommend. Also I left out jewelry one time which I never recommend but it was completely untouched during a room service visit when we left town for a day. Appreciate the service . I do not think in the U.S. some of these services would have been giving to me.
