Embassy Suites La Quinta Hotel & Spa

Lovely hotel with great, spacious rooms, really comfortable beds and more than ample parking. I do wish the windows opened more than two inches. All the bar staff and breakfast staff were lovely people, very friendly and helpful. One of the room cleaning staff was overly enthusiastic and threw away something I wanted to keep. The breakfast was good, a strong variety on offer. The chef's special eggs were extra good. Watch your credit card after you leave. Two days after I checked out, I was charged for a water bottle from the room, which I never touched. I called the hotel and the receptionist said she would see it was refunded. Two weeks later, no refund. I called again and spoke to a manager, who refunded the charge immediately.

I didn’t like my room I request to be in front of ten restaurant and the send us to this room in the corner, the sheets have holes, not enough pillows, carpet was a little dirty.

The location across from Old Town La Quinta was the reason I chose Embassy Suites. It is right up against some condos and there isn't any signage if you can park on both sides (next to condos)? But there was plenty of parking in the back of the hotel where my room was.

I booked a "King Bed with Balcony" room. They put me on the "dog floor". When I let them know that I wasn't happy about this room and asked, "Am I on the dog floor?", they responded, "Yes, it's available for everyone". Being on this floor felt like I was in the basement (something dark and dreary about this room) with access to the outside for dogs to do their business. Also, I guess it's available for people to go outside and smoke since it was littered with cigarette butts all over the place. I let them know I was not happy about being in the basement with the dogs -- I heard barking. The very small patio itself was littered with garden debris, and the slider had blown glass -- it looked terrible and shabby. I let them know this right after I checked in and let them know. No one from housekeeping came, as promised. For all this, I was given a 10% discount on the 2nd night. This was not Hilton quality that I was expecting.

Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately the spa was closed.
