Matala Dimitris Villa

Located just a short walk from the village centre yet far enough away to be out of the hussle and bussle. Matala is a place to enjoy and so the hotel was for us, just a place to retreat, relax and refresh. I will stay there again next year.

When we arrived we were politely informed that the hotel was full and we would be staying in another hotel. The second hotel turned out to be a busy place on the main street of Matala and not the quiet retreat we were expecting. We were furious that our booking was not respected.

Wir wollten runter kommen und das haben wir geschafft. Weg vom Stress und Alltag. Wer fan von Club- oder Pauschalurlaub ist, ist hier falsch. Hier trifft man selten typische Touristen und das ist gut so.

Hotel au calme a 300 metres des animations du centre. Tres belle piscine. Mais ne pas diner (reste du BBQ du midi !). Chzmbre propre Lit simple a ressort !

In the booking of our Family Room there were listed 4 beds, but we find that there are only three beds and a cot. The double bed is the only decent, albeit small, the single has a tragic mattress with the springs piercing the back, the cot is almost unusable even for a 20 kg baby as it is worn out. The room is exposed in the south, so it's torrid. At least there is the air conditioner, but it has'nt been cleaned for years. It has molds everywhere inside and smells as you switch on it. The bathroom is so small and lousy, that even getting a shower becomes a problem. During the period the room have not been cleaned, neither the garbage taken away. The pool, built only to put the photos on the site is poorly kept, dirty, with a quantity of chlorine, put handly and in uncontrolled way, which irritates as soon as the bath extends somewhat. Breakfast and meals are of low quality and prepared without any attention. The staff is extremely unkind, especially the girl at the reception, who with a fake smile refuses to give any kind of service. Never had such bad hospitality from a Greek. Carefully avoid dinner. Finally the staff lacks the slightest desire and ability to do everithing. On the online booking sites rated two stars, on the private site rated three stars resort, behind the door I find the Greek Tourist Board sheet with a rating of one (1) star and the cost of the room half as much as I was requested. Everything documented. Strongly disliked. Aviod it carefully.

L'accueil méprisant parce qu on était les derniers à 20h25. Et alors que le tarif en chambre et notre voucher de réservation indiquait départ à 12h, on s'est fait vire de la chambre a 11h 30 alors qu on était déjà en train de ranger nous affaires.. Couche tard leve tard, abstient toi!

Außergewöhnlich freundlicher Service, rascher Check-in, ruhiges, schönes Zimmer mit Terrasse, gutes WIFI und ein reichhaltiges, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet! Angenehme Lage, kurzer Spaziergang ins Dorf und zum Strand.
