Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mankato

I thought this hotel would be a good place for my family to stay based off of a quick glance of the reviews, and also because it is associated with Wyndham. Instead, we found it was dirty, unkept, and the staff was not helpful nor considerate. We ended up leaving the night we got in. Upon closer inspection of the reviews on google, you can tell some of them are AI generated. Our hotel room had a wet floor outside of the bathroom- damp to the touch. The room had a musky smell, and my husband who is allergic to mold started coughing. There were two crickets under the desk (very unexpected) and dead roly poly bugs in the corners of the room. I noticed a couple stains on the comforter, and after examining the sheets found several more stains, rips, and hair. We asked to switch rooms, explaining the situation. The front desk person simply said, "no," with no explanation or concern about the problems in our room. I don't trust the reviews on here. Perhaps if you just want a cheap place to stay for the night this is an option, but if you're going to spend $100, might as well stay somewhere else.

Everything! The guy at the main desk was exceptional. So professional and helpful. The best I have dealt with at any property and I have made 12 trips to Europe. So I have been around. Thanks!!!😊👍

This hotel did not even clean my room prior to my arrival, we arrived to dirty sheets and towels in the bathroom, and someone elses used soap in the shower. We arrived at 1am due to our flight schedule so we had to stay the night, they charged us full price for the night, we checked out first thing the next morning. DO NOT STAY HERE.

It's out of the way, staff is fine, but we booked an affordable hotel amd and thats what we got. Breakfast was sad, but they did have breakfast food.

There was two hours of shouting from 2:00-4:00AM I was afraid to come out of my room. More shouting at 9pm the next evening. The accent cover on the bed had food remnants on it. Bugs in the room and hallway. Staff at front desk pleasant although the night after the 2 hours of shouting the front desk person didn’t validate my concerns about the shouting, just shrugged be off. Power went out the second night from 6-8pm. No reason given and was told it would be back on soon. Very small selection for breakfast. No fruit. Milk was in open pitcher and didn’t look good.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 10 minutes before moving to a different hotel down the street. Walking in, 3 separate groups of people warned us not to stay here, as their beds appeared made, were 100% unwashed. The result was the same for us. The bed looked put together, but there was what appeared to be blood stains, hair, and bodily fluid stains on the sheets. The Motel 6 down the street is 100x cleaner.

overall it was pretty good, we did find a yellow stain on a blanket though. Someone tried to get into my hotel room, and at the time I had 6 people in my room. luckily, they didn’t get in since the deadbolt was locked, so they couldn’t get in. It sounded aggressive when they tried to get in, and it was going on for a few minutes. This went on around midnight, and kept hearing knocks. we kept looking out of the peephole, but nobody was there.
