Wyndham Grand Algarve

Rooms were excellent and spacious with everything needs for a relaxing stay. Bed was very comfortable and choice of pillows. Area around pool large. Staff very attentive. Terrace was a pleasant place to sit.

A very minor grumble was that it took ages to get a coffee at breakfast! You couldn’t serve yourself.

Já fiquei em vários hotéis de 5 estrelas no Algarve (todos mais bonitos que este - é preciso dizer). Mas nunca tive um serviço remotamente tão bom. Deixo um agradecimento particular a Raquel Mesquita e à sua equipa por um excelente trabalho e, mais raro, por uma atenção ao detalhe que não é costume por cá. Obrigado!

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the past seven years and it’s a very nice hotel with professional and friendly staff, but I’m not convinced it’s 5 star. The food is decent but it’s definitely not 5 star standard at breakfast. The quality of the breads, pastries and meats, in particular the sausages/cooked meats definitely isn’t 5 star level. Overall it’s four star fare at breakfast in terms of content and quality and as another person said, the food rarely changes. This is all fine but there’s absolutely scope for improvement. They offer a pleasant sparkling wine at breakfast but no other brunch style alcoholic beverages. The rooms are nice but again more in line with a very good 4 star. A 5 star hotel would have more complimentary products. It’s a pity the outdoor pool has no heating capabilities (aside from natural sun!) and I don’t recall there being much in the way of poolside bar service or snacks. Would I stay again and/or recommend to friends? Yes, it’s friendly and you’re made feel welcome but hopefully the food at breakfast might be a little more refined and better quality and there may be better stock of complimentary drinks/snacks in rooms and not have to pay extra. That’s what you’d expect in a 5 star hotel.

Stayed here again at the end of February. Absolutely love the hotel, it's very stylish and the rooms are fabulous. Spacious with kitchen, living room areas, comfortable beds and great bathroom & additional shower room. The staff are brilliant. They are so friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Luz who is so helpful and always goes the extra mile. She is an asset to the hotel. We were greeted by Joao, who made us feel at home in an instant. Can't wait to stay again!😀

Our suite was fabulous. Both the lounge and the bedroom had large patio doors with beautiful views of the garden. There were 2 bathrooms, which is unusual for a one bedroom suite. The sofa was comfy and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Sadly we were only there for one night. If we return to that area again, we would definitely stay there.
