Huvafen Fushi Maldives

This place is truly magical. From the moment you arrive you are swept off your feet with the luxury and attention to detail of the property and the staff. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. EVERYTHING is absolute perfection. The room was stunning. The food was absolutely sensational. The snorkelling was incredible. All of the staff around the island were friendly and professional. I could go on and on! Our butler Nellie was truly fabulous and made our stay extra special. This place is true paradise - we are counting the days until we can return.

After more than a month of honeymoon and many accommodations visited, we can say, that this was the worst in some details for its category. The room included filtered drinking water and milk, coffee and tea. After the first night we used up the first brick of milk for coffee and it was not replaced. The second day we used the second one. We said we needed more and were told that the hotel was out of stock, they could bring us a glass but it was a charge. how can this happen in a hotel where you pay over $2000 a night? I received several emails asking me about my arrival time, when this had already been arranged with our previous accommodation in the Maldives. It is a large hotel compared to others of similar price, 46 villas in total, which makes it not feel too exclusive. At meals the dining room is often full and even if you have booked, you may have to wait. The first and last overwater bungalows, both ocean and lagoon, are very exposed to passing buggies. In particular, in the latter you can be seen by both guests going to the pavilions and staff while you are in your villa, so privacy is minimal. You also hear buggies every five minutes. Most of the beach villas are in the water sports area and the main jetty. They also had no honeymoon detail, which we had had at all our previous accommodations, including the previous one in the Maldives.

Excellent choice of breakfast and evening meals in the Celcius Restaurant. Beautiful, peaceful resort, a slice of paradise. Fabulous spa and spa treatments. Despite not diving/snorkelling we saw lots of fish, sharks and stingrays. We loved that it was so warm all through our stay. ( high twenties) Helpful and knowledge staff. Bonus having tea/coffee making facilities in the apartment.

Neither the Raw or Salt restaurant's had food that appealed to us. Weather is changeable, we had rain for several hours on two afternoons and it can be quite breezy at times. I expected it to be more consistent in January. However, this didn't spoil our trip in any way.

Breakfast was just right. Room looked freshly done . Dinner despite my half board was amazingly good with ala carte menu. The best of all was my Butler Saif who organised everything we needed from Check in at the room to our snorkelling, to the special dish Reef fish ceviche we wanted to reorder.

Have nothing to complain.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Huvafen Fushi Resort, and it was nothing short of exceptional. A big thank you to Naadi who went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable. The personal touches and attention to detail truly made me feel special throughout our stay. We would also like to thank Noel and the team for their hospitality, their commitment to excellence was clearly demonstrated and visible which added to the overall wonderful experience. Great Island, Sensational Spa, Amazing Food, Exceptional Service! A big thank you to everyone.

1) friendly and understanding staff; not only did they acknowledge some of their mistakes, they compensated for them. 2) the resort is very small, thus very quiet. If you’re looking for quietness. Not a lot going on. 3) the Villa itself was gorgeous with 2 pools which was an added bonus! 4) the underwater spa is a unique experience!

1) the most thing that I did not like was the lack of variety in food. Only 3 restaurants with limited menus. Not expected from a supposed 5 star resort nor the price we paid. 2) it could get quite boring in the evenings and especially after 1-2 days. No music no activities no variety in events done by the resort. 3) not an ideal resort for children. No kids club. Limited menu option. 4)no gift shop or store on the island for any extra necessities we needed. 5) the beach villa wasn’t very private. Anyone on the beach or swimming in the sea could see right into the room.
