HKThe location is perfect. It is just next to the ticket office and rental office. Ski in and ski out.
No restaurant (or very very few) in the area within 15 mins walking distance. No public transport to town. The shuttle bus provided by the ski resort is always full.

JPthe facilities were old but sturdy, there was a pick up from the station and the lady at the reception was lovely. The room had a tatami room and fully equipped. There are no restaurants at a walking distance, but if you have a car there are supermarkets nearby to stock up. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. I brought my house trained dog, who is well mannered to oblige the facilities' rule to carry them in their carriers in shared spaces (hallway, elevator, lobby etc) and the beautiful dog friendly park 5 minutes walk was a cherry on top. The view is amazing from the hotel, and the hot springs were an additional charge (per person/ per day) not entailed in the original booking but common in the area. Id love to come back again!
