at the Waters Edge Bed & Breakfast

Easy all around and very nice room. Owners are cool.

We always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast, but never found the perfect one in our travels, we also wanted to see the fall colors in Door County and never had. Then we came along the prefect bed and breakfast at the gateway to Door County and it made for the PERFECT FALL GETAWAY. This could not have been a better place to stay for our fall getaway. The sun rise over Lake Michigan was beautiful!!! We left our windows open at night to the relaxing sound of the waves crashing, it made for great sleep. The food was delicious and the hospitality second to none. One perk to us was it is an adults only location so that made it even more relaxing to us. There is also a fire pit next to lake to enjoy. We will 100% be returning here for another stay.

We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one had the absolute best view of Lake Michigan that we’ve experienced. I was upset by the impersonal check in when we arrived and just found a note - but the amazing hostess and breakfast/conversation by far made up for this! Thanks for a great stay!!!! View of the lake is great. Decor in Hollywood room is tacky. Pink paint in the bathroom, a little mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Toilet seat was loose. There was a general dustiness to many of the surfaces. Lighting is all lamps, so it's not the easiest to navigate when arriving at night. There are lamps clamped to the headboard of the bed. The furniture is all of cheap make. The dresser was the nicest piece, but there were handles missing on 2 of the drawers.

There is contactless checkin. The owners are friendly and try to include everyone. Also the other guests were nice. Breakfast is served promptly at 8:00 and there is something new every morning. That being said, except for the pastries and fruit it is not a la carte. One day, I did not like the blueberry French toast and the owner offered to make eggs. I did not want to be a bother so I declined. The Hollywood room is nothing special. It is by the dining room which I thought would be a problem. Since people are usually only there for breakfast, it was not noisy. The room did not have a closet and linens are not freshened during your stay. The bathroom has soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The down side is that every move you make in the bathtub it creaks. Makes me think it was cheaply installed. If I were to go again, I would stay in the Music room as there is more privacy. Everyone walks by the Hollywood room to access the deck and beach area. There were a few repeat guests so others must be pleased with the accommodations.

Great views and breakfasts

The hosts Dave and Kari were very friendly and accomodating. I was unaware that the facility did not have air conditioning. The units do have ceiling fans, however, I suffer from hot flashes, so Dave brought over a box fan for me. Kari's breakfasts and coffee were delicious and her conversations were enjoyable. The best part of our stay was the views!! You can't go wrong with any of the rooms, as they all have spectacular views of the lake and sunrises!!

Beautiful property, but rooms are a little cluttered with knickknacks and could be a little cleaner. Otherwise, wonderful place to stay! Very fun and gracious host!!!

Total serenity. The sounds and views are second to none.
