Jonathan and Gary are such wonderful hosts! The place is very clean, organized and every detail was looked after. The breakfast of muffins, fruit, cereal, OJ and yogurt was absolutely perfect. The special afternoon snack was a great added bonus. Jonathan gave us some great restaurant recommendations as well as helped with what was open and closed (The Southerner was fabulous)! I will definitely return at a future time.

This vacation was the most relaxing experience we have had. The fireplace and jacuzzi was perfect for the occasion and the breakfast was all ready stocked in the room with every dish or glasses, utensils you need. It was perfect and we will definitely plan a trip back!

Such a fun place to stay for a weekend getaway! Our room had a fireplace and nice decor. Breakfast is provided in your room- homemade muffins fresh each day. There is also a treat every afternoon. Easy to get to, close to downtown and the hosts are so friendly. Highly recommend!!

Here's a great place to stay, right downtown Saugatuck. It's quiet, comfortable and provides a continental breakfast at your leisure. Your refrigerator will have all that you need: juice, milk, muffins, and yogurt, plus a nice specialty snack treat. The room is also stocked with cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn, breakfast bars and more. You'll find the room to be very nicely furnished with nice added touches, such as games, robes and bathroom amenities. The proprietors are friendly and accommodating, making your visit the best experience. The rooms are clean, the environment safe, and it's a place you'll want to return for another visit. I give them a grade of "A".

My wife and I have traveled to Saugatuck/Douglas MI. many times, but always in summer Labor Day weekend. This year we were looking to "chase winter" - that is to travel somewhere we could enjoy some snow, winter hiking, etc., as in Muncie, we seemed to have missed winter to this point in the year. HGI was recommended to us, and we are very happy it was. Jonathan met us at curbside- very friendly and gave us all direction we needed. Very nice, cozy room - The Orleans Suite. Perfect for 2. Fridge, microwave, wet bar all within. Each day an ample array of breakfast is dropped off - delicious muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice ,coffee, milk. More than enough + a sweet snack. We were able to hike the Dunes park and Oval Beach. Our favorite - Everyday People Café - exemplary, as always. Jonathan and Gary were most accommodating, but we didn't really need anything once we checked in. A very private room. Met all of our needs for a nice winter stay.

We loved our stay! Beautiful, clean, quiet room. Right in the downtown area, but set back from the bustle. Can’t wait to come back!
