Koyao Island Resort

Traumhafte Strandlage, der Ausblick, die Ruhe, das warme Meerwasser, die tropische Umgebung, die Tiere, die man in der Strandvilla nachts hören kann, die Massagen, das Essen, das sehr nette und höfliche Personal. Wir haben unseren 7 Tage Aufenthalt voll genossen.

Anfänglich hatten wir die Strandvilla 13, wo uns leider ein sehr lautes Lüftungsgeräusch vom nördlichen Nachbargrundstück sehr störte. Nach Umzug in Strandvilla 1 auf die südliche Seite war alles perfekt. Der über das Resort gebuchte Transfer vom Flughafen Phuket war mit ca. 14000 Baht hin und zurück vergleichsweise sehr teuer. Viele Mücken.

The value for money is very poor and the villas have no locks. Honestly very disappointed by the place and didn’t feel safe to stay.

Lived the laidback vibes, the gorgeous views over the sea, swimming in the infinity pool and the excellent food.

If you stay in the Tents, the views are gorgeous but the air conditioning is a bit weaker than in the beach villas AND you need to request the golf cart to pick up/drop off.

The location is PERFECT with a beach that you can swim from even at low tide. We LOVED the boat excursions that the resort set up for us (Pong made our boat trip amazing twice). Highly recommend the 1/2 day to Hong Island, etc. and the full day to PhiPhi islands (although crowded our captain found gorgeous bays away from the crowds). The food at the resort is very delicious, with a great selection of authentic Thai cuisine as well as a good burger and delicious chicken cutlets.

This resort is barefoot luxury: do not expect full luxury. The air conditioning in the Tents works but we wanted a bit more comfort. We were quite happy to move to the Beach Villas: easy to everything and nice to have full AC.

We came for 4 days with our 5 and 8 year old and have had the most magical relaxing time. The place is just so zen I have never been anywhere quite like it. The staff were so lovely with my lovely kids who I worried might get bored but loved it just as much as us. The pool is just out of this world and we would 100% come back. I absolutely loved the omelettes at breakfast and my daughter said she loved it because she didn’t see any cockroaches and she loved her bed. The bathrooms are stunning. Be prepared for the mosquitoes and come with your strongest deet but I promise they are worth it to experience such a special part of the world.

A more glorious setting would be hard to find. The staff are wonderful and the food is great and very importantly the beds are comfortable! Highlights for us were seeing the Hornbills and swimming monkeys. Be prepared for tropical level mosquitoes - you will need Deet to protect you in the evenings.

This lovely beachfront hotel exceeded our high expectations. Comfortable villas set around a lawn beside the sea. A big bed, a day bed outside too. Hot water, a fridge, coffee maker. A large menu of tasty dishes and a variety of wines. Above all, a friendly and informal vibe. The view over the Andaman Sea to the limestone karsts is mesmerising. There is a but, one I will take up later with the management. The tiles in the outside bathroom are very slippery, potentially dangerously so. It does not help there are no grab rails in or near the shower, while the towel holders are many feet away.

Nice atmosphere Beautiful garden and beautiful beach The beach villas are so incredible , it looks like sleeping in the jungle but in the high comfort of a good facility. We spent 2 nights in the nearby 9hornbills tents: big space , super view of the bay , very romantic , but far (you need to get a buggy everytime you have to go to the main hall and come back: this service stops at 10 pm so if you want to come back home you have to walk and it’s quite far. Beach villas : almost on the beach , in the middle of the jungle so a lot of chattering during the day and at dawn. Let’s get to the organisation: all the team has been so nice and gentle but I have to admit that this is not a 5stars, I would say a 4 stars resort: nobody told us to book in advance anything so when we got there we tried to book the boat trip but no availability, same for the spa , everything looked fully booked. Restaurant : very slow service, the guys are really nice and kind but I would suggest an advanced training for being in such a resort. Anyways thanks everyone!
