Hotel Casa Turire

The staff are friendly and efficient. Hotel has a refreshed pool and the food was tasty.

Recently I spent one night with my family in Casa Turire. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place clean and nice. We especially like the gardens and surroundings. The employees working at the farm and vegetable garden showed us the different animals and plants and it was very interesting listening their explanations. The rooms were cozy and with a balcony. The only downside was the intense smell to mold in my room, which made my stay there uncomfortable and made my sleep difficult. The food in the restaurant was good and don Rafa’s service and kindness were outstanding. Casa Turire is the ideal place to relax and spend a peaceful time. I would definitely go back.

I did not wish to be charged in Dollars for this hotel stay, Expedia charged me in dollars, instead of Colones. I will not use you again.

The grounds of the hotel are amazing, but the hotel could use a refurbishment. Although everything spotlessly clean, the hotel is becoming worn. Also, there was no water pressure for the shower, and took nearly 10 minutes for warm water. Might be becoming too rustic for some.

This hotel is on truly lovely grounds. We decided to return to this hotel after staying here about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, the rooms, plumbing etc. have not been kept up which is disappointing as it is a beautiful building. We had drinks in the bar and a very good evening meal. Kudos to the chef and to the lovely lady who served in the bar and the restaurant. The included morning breakfast was okay, but the female server rather spoiled it. She did not appear to be the least bit interested in her job. One other thing, when we booked on Expedia we booked a Deluxe room, well, there really is no such thing. They have 10 rooms and 3 suites.

My wife get there first with my two kids (3 a 0.8) and the staff did not help her with the luggage. No baby crib and the breakfast was normal

I was at this hotel about 10 years ago and this time I had a chance to take the wife. The hotel hasn’t changed much, and thats a good thing. Its in a lovely location, the drive up to the hotel is a view in itself. At the reception we were met with smiling hosts, a fruit juice and any questions answered. We had a king room upstairs, garden view and really clean. We ate at the hotel that evening, nothing special but nonetheless was good food. What is good about the hotel is the vibe. This was once an old coffee plantation house, I would love to know more about its history. I spend a lot of time traveling and this is NOT a chain hotel, nor is it a boutique hotel with VW hub caps, crazy art and even crazier menus. What you get here is cool feeling of being away from it all. In a hotel where service does matter. Ok, it took a while for the hot water to come through, the tap in the sink was stiff, the jacuzzi was cold, but trust me. This is everything a period hotel should be
