Casa Grande Suites

Perfect location in the South of La Paz with supermarket, restaurants and cable car stationwithin walking distance. The suites are spacious, clean and well equipped. Nice breakfast buffet with cooked to order omelette. Great service from employees at the door, reception desk and restaurant.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in recent years and falls far below any reasonable five-star standard. The most serious issue was the lack of integrity and safety concerns regarding the airport transfer arranged by the hotel. We had an early morning flight and specifically asked the hotel to arrange a reliable taxi. The hotel repeatedly confirmed the price as 160 BOB, but when the driver arrived, he demanded 200 BOB and refused to drive otherwise. Given the urgency of catching our flight, we had no choice but to accept. Even worse, during the ride, the driver claimed there was a roadblock and abandoned us halfway without offering any solution or assistance. In a foreign city, early in the morning, we were forced to walk and find another vehicle ourselves. This situation was extremely stressful and we almost missed our flight. This is not just unprofessional—it is a serious safety concern. In addition, the hotel demonstrated a consistent lack of honesty: • We were initially told that drinking water could be requested from the front desk, but later informed that only one bottle per person per day is allowed, with extra charges applied • We were told that in-room dining offers a more extensive menu, but in reality, it was the same menu with additional service fees Furthermore, the hotel’s claim of offering English-speaking service is misleading. While they advertise English support on multiple platforms, the front desk staff’s English proficiency is very limited, making communication difficult and significantly affecting the overall experience. There were also significant issues with the facilities: • On the first day, the curtain fell off completely and nearly hit us, posing a clear safety hazard • The room had extremely poor soundproofing, with constant noise disturbance Overall, this hotel shows poor management, lack of transparency, and serious safety issues. I genuinely cannot understand how it is rated as a five-star property. Strongly not recommended.

Service was fantastic. Food well presented and was delicious. Fabricio from the restaurant went above his duty in serving our big family gathering!!

Fabricio was excellent. He gave us a great service at the Mezzo Café, where we had some delicious hamburgers. I recommend this place.
