Very quiet location and good breakfast in a basket delivered to room

This rating really should be a 4.5 - an older hotel that is very well maintained, very nice outdoor space and we found it quiet. Sitting on the balcony was very relaxing and we had great views. The room was nice with a fireplace good bed and good seating. As it’s older, some bathroom fixtures could have been updated is our only complaint. We really liked the breakfast in the morning being delivered to the room. Staff were very friendly as well. The location was nice and most things in Carmel were walkable.

Very nice hotel and nice breakfast dropped off at our door in the morning. The waterfalls in the outside area were so peaceful.

The location is excellent. It's a quiet street and a very short walk to town. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the inner courtyard has a pleasant feel. The people at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Some things to note: The breakfast was poor; the conditioner bottle was empty; one of the bathroom heater lamps did not work; and the walls are paper-thin, so we could hear the people above us very clearly, i.e. noisy.

Outstanding stay at Tradewinds in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The location is ideal—close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, yet still quiet and relaxing. Service was a clear standout. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was a great touch, and the staff was consistently attentive and accommodating. We booked a suite, and having a dedicated parking space made the experience even more convenient. Overall, a well-run property that delivers on both comfort and service.
