Red Roof Inn & Suites Hammond, IN

We did not actually stay at the Super 8. I had requested a handicapped room and they did not have one available. I am in a wheelchair. I looked at a room they had on the first floor, but I could barely get my chair into the hall of the room and certainly could not use the bathroom. The room looked small and not very clean. The entrace/lobby to the hotel was really dirty looking and I immediately did not want to stay there anyway. I do have to say the staff was helpful and called the Ramada Inn next door and we were able to get a room there at the same price. So I give the gentleman at the office credit.

The beds had mold on the box spring.

I would never refer anyone here! The hotel is old and in disrepair. The room smelled and was not clean. It was so bad that we left after 2 hours of trying to make the best of it. The only good thing I can say about this dump is the front desk. She was nice and courteous. I feel sorry for her because she has to work there. Even her space was horrible! Don’t waste your time or money sleep in your car.

Very run down place. Thread bare sheets and towels. Breakfast was only coffee and granola bars. Will not be retuning. I will say the woman at the front best was very good.

Devastating. I had to change room twice. There was an ant outbreak in my room; gnats landing on my food, no iron or blow-dryer as promised, the TV had to be fixed, and the window in the first room did not lock. The smell of marijuana was overpowering on the floors and in one of the rooms. The smell and air was humid and musty. The desk clerks (2 out of 3) didn't even know I was at the desk because they were on their social media and didn't see me as I waited. The coffee in the lounge was cold. The "we're remodeling" message on the booking page (of Wyndham) remains but there's no remodeled rooms or areas. I was not welcomed or acknowledged as a Wyndham member. The elevator was shaky (in some cases side to side) and loud bangs were heard as it arose. A "do not disturb" sign was missing from the room. There were plenty of spider webs in the corners of the ceilings. I took photos and video of all.

We will never go back to this hotel it was the worst experience we have ever had as there is no breakfast as advertised and bugs everywhere the toilet was moving and the water didn't shut off as we let super 8 know they said oh well worst experience ever

the room where nasty smell like weed the bathroom sink was clogged. At soon you open de hotels entrance door smell like weed and the whole hotel. I have asthma and ended with asthma attack

The parking lot was dirty and unlit. There were several people standing outside next to the entryway smoking and loitering. My wife and I had to walk through the smell of cigarette smoke to enter the building. The tile in the foyer was broken and the lobby was dark and dirty. The room had one working light.There was only one bed and the pillows looked as if they were washed in a machine and left to dry in a folded in half position. There wasn’t even a couch in the room. We were in the room for less than five minutes before we decided that the room was unsafe and unacceptable. I spoke to the desk clerk and told him we were not staying and asked for a refund. He told me that I would have to speak to the third party booking agent,Expedia we only spent ten minutes in an unacceptable location. I have spent many nights in hotels all over the world and I can honestly say that the Super 8 in Hammond Indiana was one of the worst.

No breakfast dirty property beds were terrible their were a pair of dirty socks left on my heater the rooms smelled musty.the property was in dis repair.much assistance is needed at this location.i hope this is addressed
