Staying here was a very special experience! Highly recommended!

The building itself is elegant, and the setting is peaceful.

The ancient spring-mattress beds were *pokey* and lumpy. Seating (sofas, arm-chairs etc) was tired and dingy, faded fabrics etc. The curtains on the canopy hung from a bent rod so the high lamp on the ceiling still shone into the bed all night. I really did not like that I was not informed until AFTER I had booked that the restaurant would be closed on the night of our stay, and that the email with that information was one of a bazillion I get from Booking and so was buried. we were staying in a mountain town with *literally* nothing to eat and the front desk person in the evening told us to go to the (not very good) supermarket in town to buy bread and cheese. That's NOT a 4-star experience. We need up taxiing to and from O Birran in Ribadavia, but we could have done that more easily and comfortably from our home in Beade. We were seeking a stay in which our needs would be cared for after we had hiked 19 KM that day to see Carballiño.

De nada em particular. Talvez o local, dada a sua grandeza e espetacularidade, pudesse proporcionar uma experiência um pouco mais sofisticada e um pequeno almoço um mais elaborado. Em todo o caso, é um bonito, memorável e simpático local.

Amazing! We feel the ancient environment with a very clean and modern. It’s very historic. The restaurante is stunning and food is absolutly deliciosa, and not to much expensive!
