Homewood Suites by Hilton Jacksonville-South/St. Johns Ctr.

The property is in a great location close to shopping. Staff was very helpful. The only draw back we had was our refrigerator the first night kept leaking water on the floor . We informed management and they quickly moved us to another room. The breakfast is questionable. Not much to it. It seems like everytime we ate it . It was always cold. They could certainly do a better job in this area. Other than those two things it was good stay.

Always stay at this location. First time on bottom floor. Room had heavy dog smell. Needs Ozone.

This place is great, for a night close to everything and the hotel is clean, staff are wonderful.

The light switch for the bathroom includes a nightlight when the bathroom light is not on. The nightlight is inside the bedroom. If light bothers you while you sleep, bring something to cover it (electrical tape, bandaid, etc). Pillows were awful. Bed was ok not the best but not the worst ever. We had a pleasant stay. Super convenient and quiet. They do place an additional $50 hold on your card even though Expedia already placed said hold on your payment.

Was initially thrilled when I got here. The room was a suite with a pretty nice kitchen and a door separating the bed from the "living room". The pool was nice if a bit warm. And it is in the middle of a very comprehensive shopping center. Everything from the cheapest, to the most expensive stuff, the breakfast was even pretty good. The only complaint I had with that was there was no juice, lemonade or similar with the breakfast. The problem came when I found out the toilet didn't work. After three calls to the front desk and a half an hour waiting, the best I could get was "we have bathrooms downstairs". I didn't come to a hotel to use a public bathroom. So once I got annoyed, I started seeing other issues. The bathroom floor was chipped. I also hate this new trend in some hotels of communal use shampoo and conditioner. I might not have the tools to open those up and drop nastiness in them, but somebody else certainly could. Also, the quality in those containers was probably inferior to dollar tree. It really left me uncomfortable. So overall, it seemed to be nice, but the little things stamped the initial appeal. I don't want to tell you what my toilet looks like right now.

Great room layout, great location, best breakfast and very friendly staff. We come frequently for Mayo Clinic and will always come back here. We found our home away from home.

We have stayed here now a couple of times and will definitely be back. My son attends UNF and this is a very convenient location with great surrounding area.
