Coming home from Tennessee late last night and Tonya and I were both too tired to continue driving so we stoppedu in Sweetwater to get a room. The first Hotel we check with showed a rate of 57 a night, with tax it came to 65 so I go ahead and book it through Expedia... great, right???? We get to the place and I go inside to pay for the room and they are like that will be $65 PLUS we need a $50 deposit.....wait a minute, the website said nothing about a deposit. After going around and around with the clerk and speaking with the manager they inform me they won't book the room without a deposit so I tell them bye and take my business elsewhere. Fast forward......we found a room at the Economy Inn $80 out the door no deposits required so I take it. We head over to our room and enter it, the strong smell of cheap aftershave and baby powder hits us in the face. Next I turn on the lights not too bad I guess. I turn on the air to cool off the room and hopefully circulate the funky smelling air; it comes on and the air is cold so I'm satisfied for the moment. I plug up the cell phones to charge and then pull back the covers so we can exhaustedly fall into bed for a quick 5 hr sleep before getting back on the road. Wait what is that crawling on the covers!!!! I closely examin the critter crawling on the covers to make sure it's not a bed bug, no problem it's just a baby spider, I squish it and prepare to get into bed. Wait a minute there's another baby , no there's 2, no 3 now 4..... OK I've had enough. I look in the corner only to find a Black Widow spider with an egg sac. Nope Nope Nope !!!! I go tell them I want a clean room or my money back and am informed there are no refunds on weekend rentals so I take a new room reluctantly. We open the door to the new room to be greeted by several dead crickets in the floor and the cover to the air conditioner falling off....just great!!!! The only thing positive about the room was the bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water and strong pressure.

I was force out of my home and had to live here temporarily and the woman in the office was a jewel she was as nice as ever . My room was clean and smelled amazing . Would stay here again I highly recommend

Basic inexpensive older motel. Room was OK, clean, comfy bed, OK A/C, fridge, micro, no bugs. However, no coffee in room, no ice, very minimum breakfast - juice & pastry only. The overall value is OK, but they should provide ice.

This place isn't terrible, but it could surely use stuff done. The room... we stayed in room 220. The carpet actually looked good, the bed was good, but could've used more pillows, the bathroom... welp, the water pressure sucked, the light didn't work when you first turned it on. I guess it had to warm up for a few hours cuz it eventually came on. The toilet takes 40 forevers to fill back up, and they only had 2 towels. Everyone knows women need 2 towels just for themselves. Their breakfast, consisted of a packaged pastry, and that's it. 1 guy ran it, along with the liquor store right in front of it, and there were old toilets, microwaves etc underneath the stairs. I guess for 45$ a night, it was ok. I personally, wouldn't stay here again.

Went to rent a room here, because my service dog I try to respect the industry and rent at pet friendly hotels. When I advised I have a service dog, I was told by the clerk the management request to see medical documentation on the disability prior to waiving the pet fee. I still was going to stay there until I learned their handicap room was not sufficient. Please review the laws, you can’t ask for medical proof of disability for service dogs.

YES... this is a "older" and very "basic" hotel... BUT... Extremly Clean Room, and Bed, No Bugs, Great AC and Fantastic WiFI too. Parking lot lit very well, owners very accomadating for you! Please note I stayed here TWICE, on my trip to and from Tampa, Both times GOOD!!! For the price you will not get anything better! There is a good Restaurant and Gas Stations right in the area for you too.
