Hôtel Marinca & Spa

Stayed for a week in July 2024, What a lovely Hotel, could not be more welcoming, staff First class, nice relaxing slightly secluded setting, easy access via a small reliably run boat to the lively port across the bay if wanted. Gastronomic food if you like it, many other food choices if not, always served with a great friendly, attentive service. It was nice not to have to rush to get beds by the pools, always some available, the external areas, restaurants, bars and rooms kept immaculately clean and tidy. A top end Hotel for a top end stay Maybe a silly thing to comment on, however the internal areas have many steps to different levels, many in the same floor finish, often both we and we saw others, to differentiate between the step levels, resulting in stumbling down or up, could be nasty after a drink or two ! The staff often mentioned ‘ Watch the steps ‘ some additional flush step marker discs would not go a miss !

Everything was awesome, the staff made us feel like they were here for us for anything we needed, luxury at his best!

Incredibly small room size Awful pool - not refurbished since the 80’s Extremely overpriced 60 euro pp for a day bed on the beach!! Even when paying 500 euro on for a room Food is way too expensive Tacky plastic room interiors (fake plastic marble) Bad location Steep hill side location

Lovely staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and the views wonderful.

My wife struggled with the 180 steps from the beach to our room. The Paillote restaurant wasn’t great; (all meat dishes bien cuit). Lunch menu could have been different to evening menu with simpler dishes; salads, pizza etc

- SUNBEDS on the beach are TO PAY - NO 5 STAR hotel feeling, its a very old hotel which was recently renovated, all the premesis are rather narrow (entrance, rooms, corridors, terrace…) - the whole corridor in the 1. basement was really smelling/stanky (i think according to much humiditiy, questionable mold?) - climatisation sometimes inefficient/at night sometimes there was also a bad smell in the room (smells like from canalisation…) - for about 500 euro/night in june without breakfast and sunbeds its absolutely overpaid in my opinion, in this price segment you normally get much better hotels

Amazing hotel and location , the staff were very warm and kind The restaurant in the hotel was unbelievable so tasty so good . We will definitely go back ❤️
