Ardmore House B&B

I had a wonderful stay with Jo! I arrived after a long drive to a cozy home with a welcoming host. Because everything was closed Jo treated me to a warm dinner and homemade bread. The bed was so comfortable and I slept like a baby! Such wonderful hosts in a cozy place. I will for sure return and highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation in Scotland in October. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and attentive – from homemade muffins to fresh local products, everything was provided. We were especially impressed by how they took our intolerances into account in advance and tailored the breakfast accordingly. As we arrived in the evening, we were even allowed to use the breakfast items intended for the next morning, so we didn’t need to go into town for dinner at all – simply fantastic! The room itself was beautiful and furnished with great attention to detail. We have rarely had such a great overnight experience and will definitely be coming back. Absolute recommendation!

Perfect B and B experience. Jo couldn’t have been more lovely and the standard of everything from the room, to breakfast and the fab toiletries was far beyond expectation! We stayed on a cold winter’s day on January 1st and our time here was so special, thank you ❤️

Jo and Trevor were excellent hosts. Freshly baked bread and cake on arrival. Our room was spotless with everything you could possibly need.

The breakfast was fabulous, home made granola, home made bread with lots of high quality spreads and local honey. Freshly sliced melon and orange. A huge range of beverages and yoghurts. Particularly grateful for the boiled eggs provided and home made cake, to have with a cuppa on arrival. Jo dealt efficiently with the unexpected power cut we had for half an hour on arrival, boiled water on her stove so we could have tea, and had candles and a torch for us. The bedroom was very roomy, with a huge bed, comfy sofa, and TV. The decor was full of rustic cosy charm, beautifully carved wood everywhere, and lovely bed linen. It was very relaxing. We also loved the huge bookcase full of really interesting books. Jo and Trevor were very welcoming and helpful.

Clean, spacious bedroom & bathroom. Kitchenette with the fire was a cosy place to enjoy the view.

This was everything you'd ever want from a country B&B. Room was spacious and warm with extra electric "fireplace" (which also added a nice visual touch). Very country setting, wonderfully remodeled with creative flourish. Best of all was the hostess, Jo, who walked us through every imaginable amenity with much care and consideration of her guests' needs. Homemade banana bread, homemade peanut butter, granola, honey and more, always available, all organic. Did I mention coffee and chocolates? Jo cooked us a lovely breakfast with bread she made and eggs from their own chickens in the morning. Interesting and enjoyable chat with her was added value. Hope to have the opportunity to stay here again, and again. A mile out of town in a lovely abode.

Unique. Tucked away. Comfortable bed. Welcoming hosts.

Bathroom was cold for our standards. Dining room where we ate was also chilly. Our fault, as we have heated flooring at home, so just used to it. Saw photos from other guests who had cooked breakfast. Seems we'd only paid for continental. We have stayed in many many county manor houses, B&B's and this was very expensive for what was offered in low season, and remote. Wish we could have given a more positive review, sorry!!
