It was convenient for our one night stop over to visit family on Christmas. Check in was easy and the rooms are clean and functional. Comfortable beds too

There is no side light switch just a main one so you can’t switch lights on and off from your bed.

La dame qui nous a accueilli était tellement bête!

Virkelig uhøfligt personale, der nærmest gav os voksen skæld-ud, fordi vi kom til at sidde i nogle stole, der tilhørte et andet værelse. Da vi sagde at vi gerne ville undskylde til dem der boede på værelset, fik vi et vredt svar retur om, at det skulle hun nok sørge for at få gjort. Info om værelserne gav hun meget hurtigt. Da jeg bad hende gentage noget af det (engelsk er ikke mit modersmål, og jeg hører dårligt), fik jeg rullende øjne og en sukkende gentagelse. Alt i alt følte vi os meget lidt velkomne og kommer bestemt ikke retur.

In room amenities could have been a bit more ‘pimped’ as they were very simple.

Loea has a lovely, bright, uncomplicated, happy laid back retro vibe - the very best of a bygone era of the Sunshine Coast. The rooms have everything you need, with comfortable beds, and are immaculately clean with an open, cosy, welcoming, coastal-Early Settler aesthetic. Loea is perfectly positioned, close to everything but just enough removed from the insane chaos. The walking paths along the river are just across the road and Flume Cafe, with really delicious wood-fire pizzas, is an easy walk along the river. All in al, Loea is the perfect mix of upmarket modern motel and how the coast used to be. For those of us over 50, who remember the good ol' days of the coast, before the high-rises, noise and traffic lights, Loea feels like 'home'. The host is lovely too and we will certainly stay there when we visit the coast again.
