Stunning place to stay with a real sense of history. Amazed by the scale of it - it was a 5 minute walk to breakfast from our room! Our room was comfortable with beautiful views. Staff were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Gardens and pool area were also wonderful.

As the renovations had taken place in the 90s, some of the decor was a little tired. Plus there are some very noisy frogs in the pond at night! Didn’t detract from our fabulous stay though and would definitely return.

Prachtige locatie en schitterend verbouwd. Het restaurant is spectaculair qua locatie en het ontbijt is heel goed. Ook het personeel is erg vriendelijk.

Er viel niet echt iets tegen. Met alle ruimte die er over is zou een gym een goede aanvulling zijn. Daarnaast zijn er geen koffie / thee faciliteiten op de kamer of gemeenschappelijk.

Tivemos uma estadia absolutamente memorável nesta pousada. Ficámos apenas uma noite, mas foi suficiente para perceber o quão especial este lugar é. Desde o momento da chegada fomos recebidos com enorme simpatia e disponibilidade. Explicaram-nos a história do espaço, o que tornou tudo ainda mais interessante. Ao longo da estadia, toda a equipa foi impecável, sempre pronta a ajudar em tudo o que fosse necessário. Um destaque especial para o Manuel Vieira, que nos acompanhou mais de perto e foi extraordinário em todos os aspetos: atencioso, profissional e sempre disponível. O quarto, um antigo dormitório de monges, era muito confortável e estava equipado com todas as comodidades necessárias. O pequeno-almoço, servido na antiga cozinha do mosteiro, também não desiludiu: muito variado e com produtos de grande qualidade. Relativamente à localização, mesmo ao lado do Gerês para quem prefere natureza mas a menos de 30 min de Braga para completar a viagem com história e cultura! Em resumo: um lugar incrível, com uma arquitetura única, mas acima de tudo com uma equipa excecional que faz toda a diferença. Sem dúvida, queremos repetir!

What a wonderful experience staying in an old monastery!! The restoration work was carried out by one of Portugal 's most famous architects and one could clearly see the attention to detail.
