The property is dated, however, the room was sooooo clean we could have ate off the floor. I really appreciated that! The owners are new, and very nice. The only complaint I have is that she charged me $35.00 for my service dog. NOT an emotional support animal. A TRAINED SERVICE DOG. Im terminally ill, and this working animal goes with me everywhere! I have identification as well as handicapped permanent plates on my vehicle. Even so, she charged me $35. The owner obviously has no idea about ADA regulations. If I was a different kind of person, they would have contacted a lawyer and caused a lot of heartache for these owners. Lucky for them, I'm not that kind of person. I hope they see this review and do the research. Google is good for reading the regulations regarding service animals. Other than that situation, I would stay there again. But I won't because I'm not going to pay for my service dog. My dog detects low blood sugar and seizures. She is a life saver, literally!

Room 114 was clean. The A/C worked efficiently. Used the fridge/freezer for the food I had brought along. Wi-Fi worked well; password required. Bathroom was clean but the paint was peeling. Older building that has had some renovations done.

I've stayed here before about 2 years ago and it was fine. The room was fine this time but the shower was gross so I didn't use it, used wet wipes that I had instead to clean up. Would have been nice to use the shower as I was at the races that day. Worst part was check in. I could not understand a single word the foreign speaking guy was trying to say through the thick panel of glass. Then he tried to keep my credit card. When I asked for it back he started making a copy of it and writing things down, like he was copying security code or something. He had already run my card it it was approved and I had a receipt so there was NO legitimate reason to be doing this. So I had to say really loud that I was not comfortable with it, then he wanted my driver's license again, and I repeated really loud I was not comfortable with this. Finally got my card back but now have to consider getting a new one.

The authentic mid century modern furniture and decor was enjoyable. The parking was easy. Room was clean enough with no bugs or anything. Save your receipt because they said they can't provide duplicates. Bedding was comfortable. In room coffee was fine. I thought it was expensive for what you get but this is considered in the Cedar Point area. Was the most affordable in the area. I found it restful.

Ah, the delightful Great Lakes Motel Fremont - truly a paradise on Earth! My stay there was like a never-ending nightmare, in the best way possible, of course. Who needs a quick and easy check-in process when you can dodge rogue children playing real-life Frogger in the parking lot? It's like an adrenaline rush every time you step foot on the property! The exterior of the building was a sight to behold - a masterpiece of trash and exposed wires that really screamed "modern chic." It was like staying in a junkyard but with a dystopian twist, which, honestly, really tied the whole experience together for me. And let's talk about the room - a pristine example of luxury and cleanliness, if your idea of luxury is layers of grime and dust that rival ancient ruins. I felt like I was living in a biohazard zone, but don't worry, I came fully equipped with my hazmat suit and cleaning supplies. Because what's more relaxing than scrubbing away years of neglect from every inch of a room, am I right? And the bathroom, oh the bathroom. The mold, the mildew, the trendy boot-shaped door hole - it was like a high-end prison experience. But hey, who doesn't love a little bit of danger while they're doing their business, right? But the real cherry on top of this magical stay were the surprises! From bloodstains on the mattress to burn marks from suspicious activities, it was like a real-life game of Clue. And the complimentary dead bugs and cobwebs scattered around the room really added that haunted house ambiance that I never knew I needed. So if you're looking for a stress-free getaway where you can truly relax and feel at home, look no further than the Great Lakes Motel Fremont. It's an experience like no other, where you might even get a visit from the local authorities. Now that's what I call a vacation worth bragging about!
