Spark by Hilton Kodak

I have very, very mixed feelings about this hotel. This was my first stay at a Spark hotel, although over the last several years, I have stayed in almost every other Hilton brand of hotel. The hotel itself was obviously a different brand of hotel that was recently renovated to meet the standards required by the Spark brand. After doing some reading, I learned that that means it needs to offer a fold out table from the desk to allow it to be used for two people to eat a meal, as well as offering an in-room refrigerator. There are also standards for the breakfast offered, which this hotel exceeded. In this case, it offered four cold cereals (Oats & Honey granola, Raisin Bran, Froot Loops, and Lucky Charms), instant oatmeal packets, a vanilla yogurt dispenser, orange juice, apple juice, hard-boiled eggs, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, bagels, bread, apples, and coffee. We were surprised that there was no pitcher of cold water in the breakfast area. The room itself was adequate. The bathroom was tiny, probably about 5' X 5', with only a toilet and bathtub. The sink was outside, in the bedroom area. (I wish there was a nightlight in the bathroom, but there was only one by the sink.) The TV was a new TV and offered the usual assortment of cable channels, as well as Netflix. The bed was very comfortable. The door for the room opens directly to the outside parking lot, rather than to an interior corridor, so this is definitely not what you would find in other Hilton brands. My biggest complaint is the noise level. The west side of the hotel is on the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway, and the north side of the hotel is on Gateway Boulevard, which is the entrance to Buc-ee's. Both roads get a lot of traffic throughout the night. The windows and walls to the room do almost nothing to suppress the noise from those roads, making getting a good night's sleep quite difficult. For that reason, although I did find the rest of the hotel adequate, I doubt I would return to this hotel.

This hotel has been renovated it is cute and cozy it is very convenient to the interstate 40 it is next to many restaurants and one of my favorite travel stops Buc-ee's. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was nice the room was nice and comfy I will recommend this place and the price point was not bad either.

Had to come in last minute due to car issues. The night desk attendant was very courteous and accommodating. Very friendly staff and worked with me at the last minute.

Close to interstate for a quick layover

Comfortable bed, nice bedding and linens, spacious and very clean room, balcony, looked to be recently remodeled/updated. Best of all was an incredible price. Right beside a Buc-ee’s. Super close to interstate 40. Haven’t paid less than $100 for a nice room in forever. Would definitely stay again and recommend. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is we were in a room facing a very noisy highway. Next time I’d ask for a room towards the back of the motel. Also the breakfast was sparse. However, did I mention we were near Buc-ee’s?

The rooms were modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, offering a relaxing space after a long day. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the room amenities were well-maintained and practical. I especially appreciated the fresh, bright atmosphere that Spark by Hilton is known for—it really adds to the overall experience. The common areas were clean, inviting, and well-organized, creating a pleasant environment to relax or get some work done. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying, with good quality options to start the day right.

Nothing The guy at the front desk was extremely rude and was on the phone with his daughter while checking us in. He was extremely unprofessional and doesn’t need to be working there. That place is a fraud they up charge there rooms and services and Mr Patel the owner doesn’t help or accommodate his customers

Lie about booking prices. Extremely dirty lobby and staff are rude and horrible. Did not stay

The breakfast was the only part we didn’t like. We picked this place over others because they had breakfast. But we had to go out for breakfast. The hotel only had bagels cereal and hard boiled eggs still in the shell. Not a real breakfast.
