An extremely unsafe and unacceptable experience during my family’s recent 8-night stay at the Dynham Hotel Virginia Beach. From the beginning of our stay, the hotel was filled with strong marijuana odor — in our room, hallways, balcony, and even the indoor pool. The smell persisted day and night and appeared to be coming from both guest and employee rooms. This created an inescapable and unsafe environment for my family, which included two minors (ages 5 and 8). We called the front desk numerous times, speaking directly with clerks John and Dawn, as well as the on-duty manager. Each time I was told simply “thanks for calling,” with no meaningful action taken. I was further told that staff were “too busy” to monitor or address the issue. As a result, the marijuana odor continued throughout our entire stay. The consequences were serious. My wife suffered severe headaches and nausea that escalated to the point of requiring an emergency room visit. All of her medical tests were clear, and the doctor confirmed that the symptoms were consistent with marijuana exposure. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we were forced to deal with a health crisis directly caused by the unsafe hotel conditions. This stay not only disrupted our family vacation but also caused significant physical distress, impacted vulnerable family members, and resulted in unnecessary medical expenses.

I was there for my bday. Sep 3-5. I come every year and it’s the best time ever!

The hotel room was not very clean and it was dated. It looks better from the outside but it does the job. The location and access to the beach are the major selling points. It is a great location if you want to be away from the crowds.

Not clean at all. Pool and hot tub had scum floating around in it and just overall not a clean hotel.

For the price of the room - it’s just ok

I absolutely love this place! Nice,clean peaceful establishment and the location is my absolute favorite! Wyndam North End VB has professional team members great rates and fabulous restaurant downstairs! 24 hour fitness center and easy parking! Cant say enough good things about my personal experience

The view from the twelfth floor was great!!!
