Grand Hotel Due Golfi

Stunning views and pool area, friendly helpful staff, excellent free shuttle service to Sorrento town, good selection at breakfast and comfortable rooms. On site restaurant is excellent. Very close to Sant Agata village which has some really good restaurants (Da Mimi especially) and supermarket.

We loved our stay here however some things of note. The hotel is on a very busy road which is noticeable if you are in a classic room, less so in the sea view rooms. It does quieten down at night and we preferred this location to staying in the centre which is super noisy. Showers could do with updating but we did love the hand painted bathroom tiles. It is up in the hills, therefore you have to time outings around the free shuttle service and then factor in the walk to the port if catching a ferry which is 15 minutes at least. A taxi would cost 60 euros down to Sorrento so it would be nice if there was a shuttle slot mid afternoon. No milk in room for coffee/tea despite there being a kettle. Poolside snack bar only serves food 12-2:30pm. It would be good if it served food later in the day as we arrived at 3pm and were all starving however we did manage to find a lovely cafe serving delicious paninis in the village called Bar Orlando which is frequented by very friendly locals.

We have loved this hotel for our stay. The view is absolutely amazing and the staff are excellent, it is clean. I would rate it a 4.5 only because of the shuttle times. There is no shuttle between 12:30pm and 5pm and unfortunately the buses are not consistent and don’t follow the schedule. Two days we were stuck taking a taxi back to the hotel at 60 euros each time. Also, I notice the pool gets very busy after 5:30pm as everyone returns on the 5pm shuttle from Sorrento but the pool closes at 7pm which isn’t much time to enjoy it. If there was a shuttle between 2-4pm then people could enjoy the pool after being in the hot sun all day. That is our only complaint about this hotel.

Everything was close to perfection. Location, staff, food, all remarkable. The breathtaking view from the pool is unique. Take a late afternoon swim, and enjoy it with a delicious cocktail from the bar. You can have a true local food experience right at their restaurant “il Vespero”, one of the best of the area. Perfetto for families, the staff was an accommodating every request for our 1 year old baby, it felt like home. We’ll be back

As a small point of attention, the WiFi could be improved, there were blind spots in the facilities. National carrier signals are also poor in the area, therefore the communication can be unstable or difficult.

Hotel staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. The pool and view are excellent. Breakfast every morning was exceptional

Bar service could be improved, at times the bar lounge was closed or un-staffed, and the only other option was the poolside restaurant, which at times was dedicated for mandatory food orders. So you couldn't sit anywhere and just enjoy a cocktail
