Econo Lodge Lawrence near University

Outside entrances were disconcerting. Room smelled like smoke. Rusty handrails.

This was a fairly inexpensive but well-kept and clean hotel for Lawrence! You can tell they recently remodeled/updated the rooms, which was nice! The outside looked nice as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast on the weekend closes early at 9. We came in at 9:15 and they tried to find some food for us still. The only down side is the lobby didn’t smell good which was off-putting, but everything else was great! Would recommend!

They over charged just to clean your room! We pay more than they ask for! Why pay an extra 20 just to get your room cleaned…I will not stay here again!

Probably the saddest place I’ve ever stayed. Two flies greeted us upon entering the room. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The grate on the AC was broken, the fan in the bathroom sounded like a tin can being beaten relentlessly. The satellite signal reminded me of dial up internet. The corners of the bathroom had a wedge of dirt. The kind you look at and ponder how many people ignored the obvious. I will say the front desk man was super sweet and informative.

The room was very small. The flooring had been replaced but was coming up and in poor condition. Rather expensive for what tou got.

The front desk personnel were super helpful with tourism ideas and the rest of the staff were friendly. The room was clean and the hotel location was good for driving to attractions.

Meet expectations - value for the money spent. Desk clerk was wonderful, friendly and efficient
