The Bavarian Manor Hotel

The hostess upgraded our room without us even asking. They didn't really care about the check out time, since they weren't expecting more guests to check in.

The Bavarian Manor is located on a spring of Sulphur water, so it smells of Sulphur when you run the tap, flush the toilet, take a shower. The building is very old and desperately needs to be restored. The floor of our room was slanted and not level.

This is a once grand old Inn that has not been properly cared for for many years. The building is in poor condition and needs major work. The one and only staff member is a ditsy lady who kept us waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes upon arrival because she had left a sign "back in a Minute" and went to clean the third floor but did not take her cell phone. We rang the bell several times and called twice but she did not respond. We would tell anyone who asked to avoid this place like the plague.

Location was good. This is an old Catskills mountain hotel, first used in 1865. Great nostalgia all over the walls of the hotel. Our room was small, but amenities were fine.

It was a good value considering that it was at the height of the fall foliage season. I liked the property but know it is not a modern hotel.

Very comfortable and cozy atmosphere, lovely staff, historical manor feel. Good value. We liked the breakfast options (excellent fruit!) and specially made tea.

No television at all, or option to sign in to streamers.

Climate control was suboptimal, the room size too small, so is the bathroom. TV service was out, and the diner was closed for the season.

Very “homey”. Beautiful scenery. Each room beautifully appointed. Continental breakfast was more than expected.

Restaurant was closed. Would have been a nice amenity.
