Jacobs Creek Retreat - Barossa Valley

This place is amazing. The spot is secluded, quiet and serene. The ONLY thing I would want people to know is it is about 7-8 minutes from the nearest restaurant. There are bbq facilities but if you’re looking to walk to dinner this is not the place. If you’re looking for a quiet breathtaking experience around every corner of the unit and grounds, this is your place.

Great location to base yourself for a trip to the Barossa. Tanunda, the main town is a short drive away and we enjoyed using the pool whilst we weren’t at the wineries.

There was no host on site, which just felt a bit odd in a property of this size. The bathroom fittings were a bit dated, although all very clean

Pleasant retreat nestled right within wine region.

Everything remote, no staff present, no facility for refreshments, no Uber, taxis had to be prebooked an hour ahead of time.

Fantastic… lovely gardens, a bathroom fit for Caligula. The suite had the feel of the sort of place that Victorians would have chosen as a country retreat.

We had a fantastic stay at Jacob’s Creek Retreat. Jerry went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and the rustic, peaceful setting was perfect for our wedding anniversary.
