Borgo Vescine

I'd never heard of Radda before but this place is a gem, just outside of this little Tuscan town. Situated near In Greve, Castellina, and the Chianti road, the service, sights, and grounds are unbelievable. I travelled to this hotel with my parents and we each staying in rooms that felt like separate villas. Theirs had an amazing view and mine had a private porch that was tucked away, perfect for sitting with friends or family to have a late night glassw of wine or cigar. The grounds feel very private, especially the rooftop setting of their restaurant. The food and wine there was also on par with the rest of the service. I wish I had stayed longer than just one night!

Il Borgo di Vescine is a wonderful, tranquil, small hotel half way between the towns of Castillina in Chianti and Radda in Chianti. It is also a winery that produced some fine red and rose wines, including a rose prosecco that we found wonderful. We think the best way to enjoy this hotel/ location is to have a car and visit the many interesting smaller towns and wineries in the Chianti region. Buildings are exactly as depicted on the web-site, cool natural stone structures with tiled roofs and interiors. Bathrooms are typically modern European; and the basic in-room air-conditioning is a good addition in the high summer season. An excellent complimentary breakfast is served on an open, but shaded, patio in good weather. Lunch and dinner can also be taken there; and the service is both friendly and good, with the menu offering a range of Tuscan meals and both in-house and regional wines. The pool and surrounds were well-maintained and seemed to attract most guests, but especially family groups. There is also an pool-side honour bar for drinks and ice-creams; and lunch can be ordered and taken there. The restaurant staff need a special mention. They are very friendly and informative and all live locally, so can suggest interesting places to visit. Grazie mille Valbona and Rafaele.

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, as were the evening meals we had there. The wine tasting with Virginia was a highlight of our stay!

We found this hotel on hotels.com a couple of years ago. We booked it again this year with our family of 8. WOW!. The rooms are like stone cabins. They are huge and beautiful. A giant swimming pool was an added bonus. It really is out In the middle of no where. Quiet and serine. The food was unbelievable. The breakfasts and the dinners were gourmet. And on top of that it is a working winery with amazing Chianti's. I am sure we will go back and I want everyone to know if you want a unique Tuscan experience you just have to stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 nights from Mid June and found the hotel to be wonderful. We had a double room which was perfectly adequate, roomy with a lovely big shower room. The hotel itself is really well kept. Rooms are very clean, service is excellent and the gardens really well kept. The buffet style breakfast is continental. .Loved that they hadn't caved to trying to do "English" breakfast - there was great choice. We dined in the restaurant one night and found the food and service were great. The reception staff were very helpful and

This place is amazing!! Just what I was looking for - a perfectly Tuscan style Hotel in Tuscany!! Customer Service is outstanding. Grounds are so beautiful. Breakfast wonderful! Winery/wines delicious. Can't wait to come back and stay again!! Pictures don't do this place justice. HIGHLY recommend.

Low season visit was still wonderful. Turning leaves on the vineyards and the olive harvest. Hotel was very quiet.

If you want to relax all senses in beautiful hotel in wonderful chianti region with pool and excellent winnery this is right choice. Excellent service and food. Nature is wonderful. All recommendations!!!

Very helpful staff, especially the guy from Holland. Only downside was that the swimming pool was er, cold, shall we say. Some solar panels to help heat the water would be a good investment. Otherwise we couldn't fault the place.

The 1300th century village hotel was very rustic and had a nice feel about it. The staff were very polite and friendly but our room was disappointingly small with very little closet space and had two single beds pushed together to make a queen. It was very hard and not at all comfortable and as a result we didn't sleep very well. We would suggest investing in some quality mattresses. The breakfast was good and the restaurant staff were very nice, too bad about the bedding we truly could have enjoyed our stay much more.
