Trump Turnberry

Stunning location. Perfectly clean. Nice room & spacious lovely bathroom. Robe & slippers in room for you. Lovely view at breakfast. Golf club allows non golfers/members to sit and have a coffee etc.

Not everything is 5 star standard so felt a bit let down by my experience. The spa felt more like a 3 or 4 star spa hotel, if you want a proper 5 star luxury spa go to SCHLOSS Roxburghe, it’s 10x better. Breakfast was poor and not as good as other hotels I’ve stayed, if you want a 5 star breakfast go to St Andrews Fairmont. The bars and restaurants are very expensive for what you get. Atmosphere / hotel was dead, felt uncomfortable at dinner. Crazy prices for a round of golf.

Hotel itself is brilliant. Staff extremely helpful. We love it here.

The kids room with the inflatables now being seasonal. The " cinema room" being moved from the room with the bean bags and blankets to a tiny room that you are now being charged £40 for the use of. The mini fridges being removed from all rooms unless you have a suite. The games room also now pay to use. Turnberry was always a place we loved to visit with our children but on this occasion it fell short. Sadly, none of the new management changes seem to benefit the end user at all.

It was just luxury all the way, food was amazing as well as the cocktails.
