Beautiful and well maintained hotel. Everything about it if first rate. I liked the unique contemporary room design. The only negative I had was the mattress was too hard for my liking.

"Terrible and Disappointing Recognition for Elite Loyalty Members!! Skip Next Time."

Terrible recognition of elite loyalty members. Receiving a room upgrade is a guaranteed benefit of being a Diamond Ambassador member with IHG. However, this hotel uses a bunch of corporate nonsense to wiggle its way out of that obligation. The sad part is that this is the 3rd year in a row I'm staying with them but they don't care. They also have a suite and club level rooms available but they refuse to upgrade even though, again, it's a guaranteed benefit for being a Diamond Ambassador. Think this will be my last time staying with these guys and will instead go with the Anantara Chiang Mai next time.

"An extremely pleasant stay"

We had a wonderful stay at Intercontinental CM. The room and facilities are excellent and well maintained. Unlike experience of some other reviewers we found our twin room spacious, with a seating area comfortably arranged. The real asset of the hotel is its staff, who are most welcoming and courteous. They made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A special mention goes to Brian, one of the foyer staff, who was extremely helpful and sorted out a difficult taxi situation for us. Overall, a pleasant experience and will definitely come back when next in Chiang Mai.
