EVOLUTION Cascais-Estoril Hotel

Great room. The reception and spa staff were great. The spa/pool area is amazing! The manager (Joana) on duty that day resolved a small issue I had very quickly and efficiently that day, which saved the stay from being very disappointing. Such proactiveness and professionalism abort issues from getting any bigger, and that is truly remarkable.

I would have given 10/10 if it were not for the tasteless, industrial breakfast (powdered scrambled eggs... seriously). The breakfast area is great, and the food looks delicious at first glance, but the poor quality is the only downside keeping it from being 10/10.

Hotel needs a deep clean

Friendly staff modern hotel with comfortable beds, spacious balcony and well located. Hotel has a very nice lounge area and lovely view at the rooftop.

Waited over 20 mins in the restaurant to try and get an order in. No server would even make eye contact. Got the distinct impression a one person table was a major inconvenience to them; they even tried to relegate me to some corner until I pointed to any empty table. Also the menu selection was underwhelming. The gym is not to the standard you’d expect at this rate of hotel.

Staff in restaurant and bar were great. Very helpful.

Staff at reception were not good. Asked three times to change a bottle of wine (from red to white) they had left in our room (complementary so very generous) and were told three times they would but they didn't. When we arrived at 1.45pm (checkin 2pm) we were told our room was almost ready (fine) and the lady in reception would come and tell us when it was ready. She never did! All reception staff I dealt with were not helpful.
