The Nomad Motel - International Falls, MN - Near Canadian Border

The place was clean and it a good location close to a restaurant to get food

I had major complications for checking, the lobby key box gave me the wrong key. Which meant carrying all my gear and bags back and forward from the second floor (no elevator) a couple of times. Then I had to interrupt my dinner plans to go back to the hotel because they had the right key for me. Which again meant switching rooms and moving my gear and bags up and down. Overall very uncomfortable experience. They gave me 5% refund, which for sure was not enough for the bad time they made me spent. I would not recommend this place. I found a couple of better hotels during the days I spent in international fall, I just got unlucky that those hotels did not have a room this night, so I choose this motel instead.

Chambre confortable de bonne taille, bonne literie . Beaucoup de clients locaux qui discutaient devant les chambres, mais finalement vers 22H tout le monde était couché et très respectueux. Nuit très tranquille.

ATTENTION!! avec un téléphone Français, vous ne recevrez pas le code qui vous permettra de récupérer votre clef dans le boitier qui est dans le petit sas d'accueil pour toutes les arrivées après 17h. On a du appeler à plusieurs reprises et on a bien galéré. On a bien reçu avant les différents messages de l'hôtel, mais le code lui ne passe pas.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and well stocked. Smelled and looked clean. Easy to communicate with management. Very relaxing.

Outside smell of sewer from time to time, which may have been the nearby plant. Would love a little more color outside so the stark approach matched the friendliness of the rooms. Need to fix the remote to tv set up, but not a big issue.

It was small. One uncomfortable chair. They charged me a hundred dollars for misplaced key.

TV didn’t work

there wasn't any place to really put our suitcases/ bags so we could open them except on the floor. The table & chairs were small & flimsy for setting the bags on.
