SUMMARY: Horrid mushy mattress and hard lumpy pillows. Sheets smelled used and sweaty. Otherwise a nice stay. PROS: Nice relaxing courtyard. Complimentary breakfast with a friendly omelet cook. REAL eggs! A weeknight happy hour with swill wine but, hey, it's free and it is a nice thing for a hotel to offer. The shower is hot. CONS: Unfortunately the entire reason I'm in a hotel is that I need a place to get a good 6-8 hours sleep, and this was not that place. The mattress was an ever shifting bowl of mush accompanied by super lumpy pillows. Even if I preferred a soft rather than firm mattress, this was more like soft that had been dropped on the freeway and run over by a few trucks. After the first night I went to the desk to ask if all the rooms had the same mattresses and was told, "Yes. I'm sorry." So I requested a sheet change because the sheets smelled like sweat. (The changed ones also smelled used) So after several backaches and limited sleep, I hope to warn others that if you don't love a super soft, no support mattress with sweaty stinky smelly sheets and large lumpy hard pillows, perhaps this isn't the hotel for you.

Location/ breakfast and courtyard

As soon as we opened the door to our room, it smelled strongly of weed and moisture and dampness. Because the hotel was fully booked there were no other rooms available, we opened the windows, but there are no screens! The pool water was freezing cold. The hotel doesn't regulate the temperature, so it’s just luck of the draw depending on the weather each day. On top of that, the king mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable!
