Clayton Hotel & Leisure Club Sligo

The hotel is dated. The room (a family suite) was disappointing. The onsite restaurant was mediocre at best. Staff were sluggish and unaccommodating. I had an issue with the bill, being charged full price (most expensive dish on the menu) for a kids partial portion. Considering that I had spent a considerable amount to stay there and also spent quite a bit in the restaurant for the other drinks and dishes, there was no effort to make a concession. It wasn't the value of the price being charged, it was the lack of consideration from the manager in this instance. So disappointed. I will never be back at this hotel. I would advise any potential visitors to consider an alternative hotel. There are other hotels in Sligo that are more centrally located, more modern, and undoubtedly much better value.

It was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful

We didn’t know how to operate the shower to begin with but we got it sorted before we left.

The bedroom was a good size with a double & Single bed. Bathroom was very clean, but possibly a little older in it's design. There was a good choice of hot & cold food for breakfast, and the quality was very good

The staff were/are absolutely superb.

Nach Öffnen der Zimmertür standen wir zuerst in einem geräumigen Flur. Von diesem ging eine Tür in das geräumige Bad mit Badewanne mit großer abstellmöglichkeit und ins eigentliche Familienzimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig. Ein Wasserkocher und Tee befindet sich aem Zimmer.

Schön, wäre eine Garderobe in dem Vorzimmet (Flur) so dass man die Jacken hier schon aufhängen könnte.

The hotel itself is nice enough with welcome additional facilities. The room was pretty clean and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was okay, as was the service. The staff on reception were very friendly. The price was quite high, but I would return if travelling for work.
