Palazzo Artemide - VRetreats, an SLH Hotel

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Palazzo Artemide. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay there. The hotel is located right next to the Duomo di San Lucia. Th architecture of the surrounding buildings is Neoclassical and Baroque - all very impressive. The hotel has a full-service restaurant and bar. We would like to thank waitstaff - Stefano, Lorenzo and Chiara - for their professionalism and outstanding service.

The hotel is well presented, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked. I cannot comment on the food as we always eat out. The staff were pleasant helpful and effective. What irritated me was a proposal on our departure bill for a 5% charge to go to the staff. The answer was no. Staff should not have to compete or kow tow to guests in the expectation of receiving what is effectively a tip. Excellence should be standard. Pay the staff a decent wage. Tipping is a nasty American (USA) disease.

A really lovely stay with delightful staff and super environment. In THE BEST location to explore Ortigia and see the sights. We arrived on the wrong day and the manager was so helpful resolving my mistake. A great place!

Location was excellent, room and adjacent terrace were wonderful. Comfortable and stylish. Staff were delightful and helpful.

Here for our honeymoon. Had the nicest time. Lovely room, lovely staff, lovely food. Couldn’t recommend it more.
