Poseidonia Beach Hotel

We had a very enjoyable stay at Poseidonia Beach Hotel. The location is excellent – right on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful sea view. The hotel facilities were great, especially the pool and the beach area. Breakfast and dinner were varied and tasty.

Due to being evacuated in the middle of the night because of wildfires in the mountains, we found ourselves, with two young children, without anywhere to stay. Marios went above and beyond for our young family to accommodate us with early check in and late check out, and both himself and Ilona on reception were always asking after our family home and how everything was going. Cypriot hospitality at its best. Thank you so much for your kindness. We had a very enjoyable stay, given everything going on.

Disappointing Experience – Not a 4-Star Standard We were genuinely shocked that this hotel is rated 4 stars – it felt much closer to a 2-star experience. We booked adjoining rooms for our family, but both rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The location is also very noisy, which added to our discomfort. We had expected a relaxing family stay, but sadly the overall standard of the hotel – from cleanliness to comfort – fell far below expectations. Would not return or recommend.

My family and I have come here for the 3rd year in a row as it is a convenient location for us to stay while we are in Limassol for a few days. It has always been average but this year was horrific, and the price was higher than ever! Let me list the problems we had in our rooms. A light that wouldn’t work, a fridge that wouldn’t work, no towels, filthy bathroom with hairs in the tub, the bathroom sink drain stank, the sheets stank and were too thin, the bed and pillow was rock hard, the air conditioning was very loud and stank, there was loud music being played until midnight, this seems to be a common complaint but for some reason they don’t change it, the gym is horrific with broken and old machines, but as are most hotels to be fair. The building as a whole is in desperate need of renovations. The breakfast and facilities are extremely average and for the expensive price we are baffled to how this hotel is 4 stars. Would not recommend.
