Staff, location and facilities all fantastic. Views were amazing, and food was beautiful. One of the best hotels i have visited.

Nothing, everything was superb.

Just wow A proper rest and relax before we enter our own busy season. The room is the best we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve been around. Lovely shore guided walk and Irish coffee making class with Tony who is a real gem. There was also wine tasting and all these are complimentary. Staff and service top notch. The little pub johnny Burkes is the jewel in the crown and Jack and his staff a highly experienced on choseing a good whiskey. Overall a wonderful stay and to all the staff thank you and keep doing what ye are doing. We are already booking to stay same time next year if not sooner.

On arrival the reception was warm and very friendly. The room was sensational offering a perfect view of the sea with loads of space. The bed was centrally located and in the centre of the room with panoramic views of the ocean. It was a superior room and it's worth upgrading or booking for what you get. The bathroom had both a bathtub and shower (separate). The service was amazing and the bar in the hotel had a traditional pub feel which felt like you were no longer in the hotel. A great bonus, there was music every night. The food was gorgeous as was the breakfast.

Location and great staff. The food was also excellent although the order of duck before the fish option wasn’t good as the duck - beautifully cooked - was too strong.

Did get much sleep as the bedroom was far too hot and no way to regulate the heating in the rooms. I contacted reception to see if they could turn it down or off but it remained hot until early morning. The windows only open a couple of inches - I’m sure for safety- but it meant that we couldn’t get enough air in to cool the room. In contrast we were too cold in the dining room. The double bed was too small - it would have been better to have just one bigger bed than a small double and a single. The bedside lamps were too big for the bedside tables leaving little room for anything else. Overall the room was too small.

First time visitors to this fabulous hotel. Fantastic setting right on the Atlantic coast. Staff so welcoming right from arrival. Room bright and spotlessly clean. Attended Irish Coffee making with Tony, and wine tasting with Charlie, both experts in their field but added much more during their sessions. Waiting staff for breakfast and evening meal were excellent and engaging, food lovely with ample choice. Lovely walks around the coast on the doorstep of the hotel. Would highly recommend.

Limited parking due to wedding and had to park across the road on estate road.

Service in the restaurant was very slow. Appeared to be understaffed. Dinner was good, but it took 45 minutes to arrive. Family member had to change rooms due to a curtain missing one a window. Surely, that was noticed ahead of time by the staff.

The staff were very welcoming. Parking facilities were good. The food was excellant

The room was very hot and we were unable to open the window. I stayed in a much nicer room on other occasions so the room this time was as big disappointing

We stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary and WOW—what a beautiful hotel. We booked a luxurious suite for our stay, and it exceeded all expectations. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, we had an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean, with a deep bathtub positioned right by the window. There was even a seaweed bath soak provided, making it the perfect place to relax while watching the waves crash. It was absolutely breathtaking. And for privacy, the remote-controlled blinds made it easy to close everything before getting in and open them again once you were settled—such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived in our room, we were welcomed with a lovely dessert and a card. Before we had even unpacked, there was a knock on the door with a voucher for two complimentary cocktails. About half an hour before dinner, another surprise arrived—two small bottles of cream liqueur and chocolates. The room itself was incredible: an electric fire, a king-size bed, a spacious bath, snacks like crisps and chocolate, lemonade in the fridge, a coffee machine, kettle, a cozy reading nook with a rocking chair and books, plus a couch and armchair. Pure luxury. What really stood out, however, was the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. There were no single-use plastic water bottles—instead, each room had a sealed glass jug, with filtered water stations available on every floor. The hallways also featured lovely reading nooks with books for guests to enjoy. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. We had dinner in Aileens Restaurant, where you can once again enjoy views of the ocean. The food was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast the next morning, also in Aileens Restaurant, was just as enjoyable, with delicious food and very welcoming staff. To top it all off, we were gifted a loaf of freshly baked bread upon checkout. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It was an amazing experience, and one we will definitely be repeating very soon.
