Hotel America

great staff, great location.

Not a 4 star hotel, anymore. Needs a major renovation, or at least some serious maintenance.

the staff were super helpful when we had to change our room due to no working AC - Gated parking at night. Prob best hotel in town, large rooms, but not worth staying.

AC was broken had to change rooms. Room smelled badly of mold. First bed more comfortable than the second, where you could feel the springs. The hotel is very old, but so is the whole town.

Room had no three prong plugs to charge up PC, TV did not work, gave us another one that was not made up poor value for 800 pesos. Nice courtyard, No Bar. Small pool. Friendly staff, but not the best. Beautiful to look at. King bed ok. Restaurant only open in the morning. Should have read reviews before.

The hotel looks good, rooms are kept clean, and its close to downtown. But the hotel is falling apart, my room on the third floor had 3 leaks in the ceiling in the bathroom (one almost above the toilet) and one in the bedroom. The ceiling had big holes where the water was coming from (meaning it must have been leaking for too long now). Room only had one double outlet (with just one working with the TV plugged and the other not working) and one single outlet. While we were having dinner a piece of ceiling almost falls on a young mans head

I am sure this Hotel was something in the day... But like the city of Detroit, the good days are long gone. Rooms were questionable, hot water was an issue, towels were ughh! Wi-Fi never worked. Room keys are actual keys, so if you had a roommate like I did on this trip, it was inconvenient. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Great place to see Colima from. Just a couple of blocks off the main square. Clean, friendly and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Beautiful courtyard with Wifi and restaurant bar. Close to restaurants and shops. Well worth the stay.
