The Royal Harbour Hotel

The stunning harbour/sea views, the artwork, the decor, the comfy bed, the good quality bedding, the seating areas downstairs, and outside. All really nicely done and the arrival welcome was very nice too, a really pleasant man who showed us around and talked us through all the parking options available.

The price was a little high. The kettle in the room could do with being wireless as the wire got in the way, and I almost spilt boiling water both times I used it. Possibly install air con, as the sun came up the room became incredibly hot and sweaty really quite quickly. There was a small fan, but it didn't reach into the bathroom where the mirror was to put on make-up, so I was melting by the time I was ready.

Nur öffentliche Parkplätze ( gratis von 6 PM bis 9 AM, übrige Zeit nur 2 Stun den. Parkhaus ca 500 Meter weiter ums Eck wurde nicht erwähnt.

The building itself is stunning, extremely homely and welcoming. This is actually the second time myself and my partner have stayed here.

I couldn't name one thing I didn't like.

Een mooi, typisch Engels, hotel. Veel kunst / schilderijen aan de wand. Goed onderhouden en up to date hotel. Gastvrije receptie. Er was geen ontbijt of lunch of diner faciliteiten aanwezig. In de directe omgeving waren voldoende, goede, voorzieningen waar je voor redelijke prijzen kon ontbijten, lunchen of dineren. De kamer was redelijke omvang voor éénpersoonskamer. Het bed was erg goed alleen wat (te) groot voor de kamer. De douche/toilet en wastafel waren ok. Uitzicht op de haven was helemaal top!! Dat is alleen al een reden om hier te overnachten. Prachtig uitzicht over haven en zee.

Het ontbreken van een ontbijtmogelijkheid was een tegenvaller. In de buurt waren prima alternatieven maar vanuit gemaksoogpunt was een ontbijtfaciliteit erg prettig geweest.

The rooms were dirty and the bed had suspect stains on it and the mattress was sacked out, the bed sheets were clean tho

There are a lot of stairs and there needs to be at least a shower curtain to stop the bathroom getting very wet when anyone has a shower !
