"I would recommend staying there it was a very nice place."

I didnt get Breakfast. It wasn't ready by the time I left at 8am. How ever the manager did make me a Pizza when I arrived late because there wasn't any place where I could get my truck and trailer into in town.

It seen like it was under staffed.

"A fantastic base camp for Telluride"

8.0

A conveniently situated location about 25 mins to Telluride, The Bivvi is a good choice if you are looking to save a little on lodging. The parking lot was ample enough for a handful of cars as folks came and went from the hostel as their base camp. There is a shuttle that goes into T-ride, but we rented a car and did not try it, but it seemed like it was a convenient way to get into town. The front desk has the shuttle schedule for those who'll need it. There's not too much in the surrounding areas like supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance, but the hostel offers free, continental style breakfast and there are breakfast sandwiches that you can microwave. The common area is pretty spacious and clean and the vibes are real chill. But, if you have a car and don't want to drive into T-ride, nearby Sawpit has a gas station that also serves BBQ, and it's delicious! On our first night, it was a bit rainy and we didn't want to drive into Telluride after coming from Montrose, and discovered the "Sawpit Mercantile" on google maps, and it was a quick 3 min drive from The Bivvi. We had BBQ dinner that night at the quaint little gas station - trust me, it works! I recommend the pulled chicken sandwich and the potato salad and baked beans. The ribs are hearty and tasty, too. There's also the "M & M Mercantile" in Placerville which is the same town as the Bivvi. This too is a 3 min drive from the Bivvi. We didn't get a chance to go, but it looks to be a general store that sells groceries, liquor and has a deli. If you decide to go, take a detour to the nearby Placerville Park aka The Down Valley Park, which is a really nice community park equipped with picnic tables, and public restrooms. The best part is the scenic views of the San Miguel river.

The private room we had on the 2nd floor was nice and quiet. It was pretty clean and overall comfortable. But, the only down side would be that the shower curtain needs to be replaced since it's gotten a bit moldy over time, and guests should not have to shower with that. Some of the pillow cases also had some small dark spots. The bed linens otherwise, were very clean.

"Overall, great. I would totally go there again!"

9.0

In a beautiful part of Colorado. Great value. Quiet, beautiful relaxing space. Hot tub with a view of the side of the mountain.

Not much. There were a couple of things that were minor…. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. I would’ve liked a bucket for ice.
