Probably the best hotel in Caracas. Staff are very helpful and room was clean. The room they gave me at check-in hadn't been cleaned so they upgraded me and gave me a free bottle of wine. The gym is good too.

Always Caracas is a challenging destination and more over the past few years. I visited this city in the past and I am amazed about how it changed, the deterioration of the city and services shock me!. In general the JW Marriott is a good chain but this hotel is the main exception, it is really expensive for what it is!. Old, not well mantain and the decor is exactly as the one from the old days. Good food, excellent location and safe... this last item is important in a really violent city where everyone from the taxi driver to a shop employee is trying to get advantage of the general confusion. It is really, really expensive and it does not reflect what the JW Marriott may protect.... their name!.
One of the best rooms I have stayed in in Venezuela let alone the US
This hotel is located in a safe area and close to a metro station (6-7 minutes walk). The recepionists are friendly and speak good English, but sometimes the information provided was not very reliable (not very surprising in Venezuela). This has a JW quality (with JW pricing if you pay in dollar).
