Insotel Hotel Formentera Playa

Our second visit to this hotel. Clean, comfortable, good food, and a perfect location right on the beach. The staff are welcoming, friendly & helpful. Bus stop right out front makes getting about very easy. Public transport is regular & good. Formentera is a wonderful island & Insotel Hotel Formentera Playa is a great base to explore it from.

Great location

No room service, couldn’t charge anything to the room, breakfast was poor. I left a couple of things behind and it was difficult to get in touch with the hotel and then the staff were totally unhelpful in getting my stuff back to me. They couldn’t have cared less

The staff were great and the hotel was very clean, which I can’t fault. However, the overall atmosphere felt more like a retirement home than a holiday hotel. There were quite a few rules and time restrictions around facilities and activities, which made the experience feel quite restrictive. It actually reminded me of the kind of hotel I stayed in as a child on family holidays to Benidorm in the 1990s. While some guests may appreciate that old traditional style, it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. On top of that, I felt the hotel was very overpriced for what was on offer. Considering the facilities, atmosphere and restrictions, it simply didn’t provide the value for money I expected.
