OYO Hotel Brookhaven MS Hwy 51 North

I booked a reservation at the OYO hotel on highway 51 NE in Brookhaven and they refused me and my child service stating they didn’t have any rooms vacant, when they had 4 available rooms. The owner spoke to us very rudely and then told us to go to the other OYO across town and tell them to transfer the reservation. Unfortunately that was misinformation and I could not transfer the reservation. The owner did not apologize for the inconvenience and his rude behavior. I’m actuallu glad I didn’t get to stay because upon arriving the conditions of the rooms were horrible.

Horrible property manager/owner who was not happy that we made our booking through hotels.com and wanted us to book directly with him (he called our personal cell phone). Once he found out that we already reserved the room through the app, he said that there are some sewer issues at the hotel and we should look for another place (after we paid in full for our stay at his property). Tried resolving the issue with OYO customer service and they couldn't care less about this situation and didn’t even try to understand what was going on.

It was the trashiest place I have ever had the displeasure to see It was nasty Staff member was so rude No tv service Dirty sheets and bugs in the corners Chain on door did not lock properly either

would not let us check in even with confirmation. Didn't ask name nothing just responded with no. Fire employees and start over. MANAGER first. Worst hotel experience ever and I've been in hotel business for 15 years. Do not i repeat do not stay here.

It would have been better if the room was cleaner and didn’t have an odor.

The stay was overall good

Wasn't able to make due to car broke down and they would not refund monies.

The hotel condition was not as it is in the pictures and it was holes in walls and paneling peeling off... Disgustomg rooms
