The Caves

We had the most amazing stay at the Caves, Negril. The service was phenomenal, and we made longstanding friendships with most of the staff. Obrian, Randy, Brad, Zoom, Jamoi all went above and beyond for us. Obrian was the lifeguard and took us cliff jumping, kayaking, and snorkeling every day. He is an amazing individual. It was a blast, and we made a new friend whom we will keep in touch with! Randy, Brad, Jamoi, and Zoom took care of all our food and alcohol and were so friendly and cool. They are truly genuine people who cared about our experience at the resort. The food was amazing and changed every day. Everything was sourced locally, and you could taste how fresh the food was. The service was very classy, and each night felt like you were at a 5 star restaurant. The caves dinner that you must pay for was worth every penny. It was a magical experience that is unlike anything we have ever experienced. The night was once in a lifetime.    The drinks were top shelf, and you could pretty much request anything you wanted. The cuisine was broad, and you could specifically request your meal, or have more traditional Jamaican food. Our room was private and large, with a great shower. It was so nice to fall asleep listening to the waves crashing into the caves below us. Each day was a new adventure, and we were never bored. This is a unique place that caters to anyone’s needs. It can be adventurous and active, or as relaxing as you want. It was amazing!!

Easily one of the most serene properties in the world! Staff are all lovely but unfortunately food was well below average for a high priced boutique property. Menu options were incredibly limited as well. Guests were given a choice between two options at each meal and no Jamaican food options except for our final breakfast. We will be back given how beautiful and peaceful our stay was, but will probably wait till we hear of culinary improvements. Comfort level was a four out of five, as the pillows on the bed were extremely uncomfortable and kept us up at night. Everything else around the property was very well laid out. Also felt very safe at night with the security guard (lovely man) patrolling the grounds after sunset. O Brian the lifeguard was also exceptional and works incredibly hard to make sure guests are comfortable and taken good care of. Overall a great experience, although most meals rated two out of five stars.

We had an amazing stay for our 10th anniversary celebration! The property is gorgeous, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Normally we like to get out an explore when we travel, but The Caves was so relaxing that we only ventured off property once. The on-site snorkeling with Brian was a really good time since he showed us things we missed when we went out our own. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves because only a few rooms were in use for most of our stay, but the property is larger than I expected so there were plenty of secluded spots to sunbathe even when most of the rooms were booked. I was a little worried I’d miss a sandy beach, but didn’t at all. Plus, if you do want a beach day 7 mile is a short drive away! I’m a bit of a food snob and was really pleased with everything we ate. For dinner there was typically one appetizer, a soup, a salad, 2 entree choices and 2 dessert choices. The soups were exquisite (don’t skip them!) and the entrees typically were a choice of fish/seafood or meat although you could include special requests or dietary restrictions when you checked in so I’m sure there could also be a vegetarian option if needed. We had goat, lamb, mahi mahi, snapper, chicken, beef, lobster, pork and shrimp dishes during our stay.

This place is the most beautiful and romantic hotel we have ever stayed at in Jamaica, Pictures and words could never do this place justice. It is just absolutely stunning for its rooms and views. This is all inclusive - meals, drinks and everything in the room refrigerator. The staff were so friendly and kind. Every meal was absolutely delicious! We are coming back!
