Yellowstone Valley Inn

Staff is super nice. Food and service in the restaurant was great. Didn’t use the pool, hot tub or gym, but everything looked clean and nice.

Getting to wake up seeing the sun rising and get to pick up my cup of coffee is something I'll remember ! Same for the nice dinner I had with my wife looking the shoshone river while all the kids in the park where playing!

Just the distance from the park really, but the park is huge anyway so.. :)

Loved the grounds, we didn't have much time to enjoy it. it was a cabin, but very small.

Bathroom door was hard to get in and out of. the meal was overpriced and just so so. No breakfast. Cabin very small. Had a hard time checking in, not sure if the staff was new or what. We were exhausted and he held up the whole line. Didnt really apologize for his mistake and making us wait so long. Older man.

The guy at the front desk was super nice and friendly! Gave very clean and helpful instructions. Bar and restaurant had great food - with big portions! Our rooms were cozy and clean. We had a campfire in the evening, and wished we got to use the pool but had no time! Around an hour drive to Yellowstone National Park, and 25 mins to Cody. Totally recommend this place.

the man up front is amazing. he was friendly informative and so so helpful. we loved meeting Jerry the full time feline employee of the valley :D loved the option to borrow DVDs and the pool and playground were fun for kids for sure! the area was walkable and its almost complete surrounded by properties with horses to watch (so fun) amazing views. unbeatable. location is great for visiting CODY and yellowstone naotional (east entrance) loved the coffee and morning muffins as well !

i will say that we dined in 1 of the two nights and the price was quite high. we spent 90 for 1 adult burger, 2 kids sliders, a side salad (it was like 10 pieces of lettuce and two cucumber splices) just overall very high for what we got. server was very kind, didnt catch her name, very sweet and helpful.

Charm and location

The staff was very pleasant and worked hard to accommodate. The property was tidy and charming on the surface.

The address was given two different ways (Wapiti & Cody), so understand that you will be staying in the middle of nowhere, about 5+ miles from Cody. Our first cabin was taking all the afternoon sun, with no screens and a broken a/c unit. They thankfully had another cabin to move us to that was tolerable, but the water stopped working at about 9:30 pm, and the power followed at around 10 pm until ??? (No a/c or tv, but this one did have a screen, so I could at least open a window). Dinner was a big disappointment. My husband ordered a steak, and I intended to just have a bite or two, and asked for an extra plate. 'They' split the dinner for us (steak was only okay but was accompanied by a very small baked potato and a tiny, dry slice of baguette bread), and they charged an additional $5.00 for the 'split' that I didn't request. (Nowhere near a $40+ steak dinner that we ended up paying for.) No cable TV, but they did have a nice selection of DVDs in a cabinet outside, only of use until the power went out...

So close to Yellowstone National Park. Nice, clean and everything we needed. Staff were friendly.
