Hampton Inn & Suites Youngstown-Canfield

We were in town for a dance competition and everyone we encountered was incredibly kind and helpful. The staff encouraged my daughter and her dance and made us feel beyond welcome. Will definitely come back the next time we’re in town.

This Canfield Ohio hotel has bed bugs, I've attached pictures. I spoke with Dan Seitz about it, he and the maintenance person found the bed bugs behind the headboard in room 226. He moved me to room 229 across the hall. I asked him to check that room as well, he stated, no need we check 12 times a year, apparently that isn't enough DAN. I find this manager to be less than accommodating, he stated there are bed bugs in every hotel and theater I responded, I've been in many hotels and theaters never have I been bitten by bed bugs !. I even had to go to the front desk and ask for detergent to wash my clothes that touched the bed. Dan could have cared less. I spoke with him after the fact, I asked for a discount he quickly stated and I quote NO. I told him he was careless in his responsibilities, he stated he went above and beyond for me by moving me across the hall where I was bitten a second time after 2 hours in that bed, went to the couch slept till early morning packed my things and I got out of there. Call Dan later he is in denial about any responsibilities where his hotel is concerned. He is not a people person and that is a must when in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS.

Great location with access to multiple restaurants in the area.

This is our second time staying here and we’re very pleased with the staff, the family room, and pet friendliness.

The front desk gave a room to meet our needs , breakfast crew offered to help carry food and cleaning crew checked to see if we needed anything. So everyone we had contact with were very attentive.

The staff was friendly, all spread across the hotel were clean, and our room (double queen studio) was spacious and well equipped.

Nice and clean.
