Ichinomatsu Japanese Modern Hotel

Posto davvero particolare e accogliente, curato nei dettagli e con un’atmosfera unica. Gli host sono stati gentilissimi, disponibili e sempre attenti a ogni esigenza. Ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura a chi cerca un soggiorno piacevole e autentico.

The facilities and rooms were clean.

During our three week holiday in Japan this stay was our only bad experience. Issue 1: Check In took 40 minutes, we were asked to wait 20 minutes in the lounge before we could check in, the actual check in process took about 20 minutes, much of which covered redundant information like where to find light switches in our room. Issue 2: We booked 3 months in advance, for 3 nights. We requested a quiet room at the time of booking, instead we got the smallest room that opened directly onto the reception area, very small and very noisy. Issue 3: Because we booked for three nights, we asked if on nights 2 and 3 could we be moved to a bigger more private room, stating that we would like to resolve and discuss the issue in the morning. Instead of resolving the issue in the morning we were woken twice on the first night of our stay, once at 9.30pm and a second time at 10.15pm, to be told that we had to pay extra and advise the breakfast staff of our decision. Issue 4: We paid in advance approx 18,000 yen per night for three nights. If I had booked on the day of our arrival for nights 2 and 3 for the same room we would have paid 12,000 yen, and a larger room we would have paid 18,500 yen. On nights 2 and 3 we were moved to a bigger room in a more private and quieter part of the hotel at no additional cost. Why we were not initially put in this room, given we booked months in advance and paid a premium I am not sure. Because of my annoyance on the first night of being woken twice, the inefficient check in process, and the poor room, I actually resolved that night that I would book elsewhere for the remaining 2 nights in Takayama, which I did, I booked a whole apartment for 7,000 yen per night, 300m to the downtown area instead of 1.4km. The alternative accommodation was much better and our experience in Takayama was very enjoyable. We would walk back to the Ichinomatsu JMH in the morning for our included breakfast.

L'esmorzar típic amb vistes al jardí i l'onsen són magnífics., tot està molt net. El personal és amable. El jardí on pots seure a relaxarte, llegir, prendre algo...

No ens va agradar que no hi ha servei d'habitacions, et deixen tovalloles i aigua cada dia això si. Després hem descobert que és típic als hotels del Japó.
