South Cairns Resort

Very old and outdated. The playground facilities are not maintained at all. We could hear the people next to us ALL night. The lights glow blue when off. Felt unsafe staing there.

Booked for 2 adults and 1 child then shown a room with 1 double bed. Moved to different room but beds awful and room not clean.

Room was not very family friendly, needs maintenance.

Nothing....

Arrived to find room configurations had changed and no longer had bunks and trundle in room plus queen.. was told I would have two of use would have to share after booking a room that had 4 beds... The room was very outdated not cleaned bugs throughout and on the second day air conditioner started leaking water everywhere.. Toaster cased an electrical short.. No table or chairs had to eat meals out or on a bed.. Other guests seemed to party if you had to sleep days to work nights this is not your place... Given 2 $20 vouchers to the Asian restaurant attached to the resort which given all the dramas we had i thought was a insult.. Bugs miggies, spiders, cochroaches and flying bugs seemed be coming out of gaps in the roof.. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemy... If I could it would be rated negative stars but have to give them one unfortunately..

Great location, felt safe and great spacious room, friendly locals and staff made my stay even better

Wifi was a bit slow every now and then but it was still good

Looks a little rough on the outside but the rooms are perfectly fine. If you want the best then pay the best. I'd stay here again no problem 👌
