Was on my motorbike, good secure parking underground. Nice room and bathroom was excellent to shower and freshen up.
The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our two cats were made welcome and enjoyed sitting on the window sill watching the traffic and view. Breakfast was simple but lots to choose from and the sitting area being out the back is quite relaxing and peaceful.

We have used this hotel on a number of occasions as it is both convenient for our journey from Santander (Ferry from England) to Portugal (Algarve)

Large modern Novotel with nice rooms and decent restaurant. Outdoor swimming pool and sitting area adds to the benefits of this hotel.
I have always associated the Novotel brand with budget accommodation but this was a very nice hotel indeed. The building is modern and clean and the room was very well appointed. We arrived quite late but the restaurant served until 11pm, which was just as well because the nearest food outlet was a MacDonalds. There is a small pool, which we didn't try. The locality is an unexciting (and quiet) suburban neighbourhood, but the hotel is close to the river and two bridges that lead into the city centre.
